Robert Barber Solicitors were recommended to us by an estate agent on a house viewing. She'd used them for her house purchase and spoke very highly of them. We didn't buy from that estate agent but took up her recommendation.
We made contact with Sharon Bettridge who is now based at the Eastwood office, from day one she was very informative and helpful.
Our house purchase turned out to be very complex and without Sharon I really don't think we'd have completed. She was an absolute diamond. Always on the end of a phone or email if we needed her.
We never felt like we had to chase or ask for information as we were always informed of any developments. We can't thank her enough for all the hard work she did.

Fantastic professional service. Had my day in court today. Had an emergency hour meeting with Helen Prins yesterday after being summoned to court short notice over a family issue instigated by my soon to be divorced wife.

Very unhappy with the terrible or lack of service offered from Carl Maw. He does not communicate with me after sending letters without my knowledge or approval to 'the other side' and then didn't respond to the other side or inform me that they had responded to him. as a result i have now missed the required response dates. He has since ignored all emails and not only wasted weeks of my time but has now created further stress and confusion whilst i try to resolve a fairly simple probate matter.
Carl initially asked me to send him all the info prior to our meeting then lied about reading it as i discovered he later admitted to not receiving it and I had to resend!!! He then ignored my request of what i required and went ahead without any approval and sent a letter on my behalf. After asking him to resolve it and confirm that he has he has now disappeared.....Very unprofessional and unreliable service that has done nothing but create more stress and problems. I will not be using him again for anything and i would urge you to consider using a reputable solicitor that will not just ignore you, lie to you and create you more problems rather than resolve the one you asked for help with.
