Don't use this company.

I used a family solicitor called Michelle for family matters.

In the initial consultation she appeared robust, just the type that one needs in this setting.

However, on the day of the court she was late, leaving only fifteen minutes to communicate with the the other party. I even had to call the solicitors to find out if she was even turning up.

She arrived all over the place, making excuses about parking. I was there however an hour before like everyone else. She then shot off, made parenting arrangements without communicating them with myself. This led to greater issue's further down the court process. It was all rushed.

I terminated her involvemented a month before the next court sitting. I had already settled the previous court attendance fees.

Since I have communicated with the solicitors rejecting that I have to pay for the terminated court attendance given I gave a months notice. Added to this, that she did not provide the services I'd paid for in the first court sitting. That being extremely late, communicating with the other party without counseling with myself, essentially not fulfilling what she was paid well to do.

I have now found that they has passed on the fee to a credit debt collection agency without following due process with my complaint.

Since my involvement with this firm I have met others with very similar experiences with this solicitor, all family matters.

Apart from that I hear they are quite good at conveyancing.

Wouldn't use for family matters.

I was buying a property with Knightsbridge Wigston and decided to use their solicitors which happened to be Edward hands. Though I’ve never been able to reach them on the phone, they alway reply to emails. I was messed up by Connells estate agent and the sale was still not concluded after 6 months and I got this property with Knightsbridge. The entire process took 2 months and a week from viewing to collection of the keys. Abby and Sarah handled my queries swiftly even after I collected the keys. I can’t recommend them any less

If I could give 0 stars I would. After 4 and a half years I am still waiting on a £2400 refund of stamp duty this practice incorrectly raised. As other reviewers have pointed out they don’t return calls and I was instructed by a secretary to seek a refund by from the tax office myself. I paid for services they didn’t carry out. Ridiculous.

Disgusted with the level of service from Edward Hands & Lewis Loughborough, I would suggest they read their own customer service statements, rang a week ago, their phone went to a answer service all afternoon, left messages to ring me back, sent a email as it’s a urgent request still no response.
Rang next day and spoke to a receptionist, yes we got your email and Paula will phone you!
Four days later still no response or contact from them, spoke to receptionist again who assured me someone would ring me asp.
Still nothing so rang again next day and was transferred to the Hucknall office, spoke to a lady who agreed this was terrible and would make sure I was contacted asp.
Still waiting !
Would I recommend them - no, no, no
Don’t waste your money or time on them go elsewhere.
They are handling a purchase of a flat for us or suppose to be!
Used a solicitor in Cardiff for the sale of property, no problems with them they always answered emails within a couple of hours, somebody always answered the phone and either spoke to me or rang back the same day.
