Rich and Carr (Syston) administered my late Mum’s estate recently.
Their empathy, professionalism and attention to detail was exemplary.
They worked closely as a team and constantly kept me informed and up to date with how things were progressing.
This took a monumental amount of pressure away from me during what was a particularly difficult and challenging time.

I’d particularly highlight the hard work, research and liaison with external agencies by Sophie and Robyn. They did everything. Banks, utilities, council, HMRC, London Gazette, funeral directors, house clearers, pension providers and more.

All their hard work was then scrutinised (in a good way) by Thomas Ackerley who had constant oversight and provided me with brilliant advice and guidance.

I can’t recommend them highly enough.

To top it all off - their fees were more than competitive and I was genuinely surprised by the final amount considering the many many hours they put in.

Thank you all ☺️. I’ve never had to use solicitor services before. I will definitely be using your services for my own affairs in the near future.

I have the misfortune of being on the receiving end of this company for a house purchase in particular John Barr. From the start they have been slow and unresponsive. They communicate via post not email which means the process has been slow and drawn out and when contacted by estate agents for progress updates they haven’t returned calls. I would definitely steer clear of them if you want a quick and well communicated sale or purchase. Ours is dragging on and we have been given no idea of an end date!

I use Rich and Carr regularly for their conveyancing services. Ingrida Jurgaityte (Syston) always upholds an excellent level of customer service. She is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

In overview; they are awful solicitors. They were initially friendly until they secured my business, after which, they showed their true colours. The receptionist (Sharan) was very rude and confrontational, she clearly doesn't understand what customer service is. There is a lack of any communication from them and you have to constantly chase them up. The solicitor assigned to your case is always 'too busy' to receive your calls. Basic things are not completed properly or in a timely manner and it feels like you are having to put more effort than they are. Overall, they are a waste of money, show a distinct lack of common courtesy and show no empathy in helping you. If you appreciate your time and money, and don't want to spend it chasing alleged professionals, then I would strongly suggest you stay away from this company. I hope this review will help people in the future.
