I was very impressed with Family Care Advi ce Ltd, they were very professional & assisted me with my elderly mother in attaining Attendance Allowance which provides nearly £4000 none means tested per year!

They completed the form for my mum & she started receiving the benefit straight into her bank account less than 2 months later.

I know of other people where they have successfuly assisted in evaluating care needs for vulnerable enable adults & provided an appropriate solution whether it's palliative care at their own home, or at a Care Home.

They genuinely care & I wholeheartedly recommend them.

I wanted to say how pleased I was working with Michaela recently for arranging the successful award of Attendance Allowance for an elderly relative of mine.

The form is really quite intimidating and whilst I am more than capable of doing forms, this form definitely required Michaela’s skill and experience helping us. Some of the questions are quite personal and her advice and experience was essential for how we answered. Michaela reminded us of things we hadn’t thought of as relevant.

She was so considerate and kind during the appointment even checking that we were ok and if we needed a break and Michaela was very patient with us.

As a result of Michaela’s assistance my relative was awarded the maximum of £108.55 a week, no mean amount and is non means tested. The allowance was backdated for 7 weeks and Michaela’s fee was two weeks allowance, really great value.

Michaela is absolutely excellent!

Knowledgeable, caring, sensitive and professional - she's been helping both me and my aging parents as together we navigate the UK care system.

Michaela offers both an "off-the-shelf" and bespoke advice service, and it's the latter that we've benefitted from. It's been especially great for my mum (who lives a couple of hours away) whom she offered a phone-call consultation, broken down into two "digestible" chunks over a period of a few days - in recognition of the fact that a single phone call would have added to (rather than helped with) my mum's growing feeling of overwhelm. Michaela then sent through a written summary of her consultation which she printed out and sent "snail mail" (in the post), and my mum was able to pay by cheque - whilst also keeping me in the loop.. All these aspects point towards Michaela's attention to detail to ensure that both generations feel a part of the process.

We're now progressing to her assisting us with completing Attendance Allowance paperwork, and it gives me huge peace of mind that we're able to utilise her expertise for this crucial step.

Really it feels that Michaela's role shouldn't exist (because the UK's care system shouldn't be that hard to navigate), but I'm VERY glad that we met whilst networking, and that we've been able to use and rely on Michaela's services, as it's been invaluable having her "holding our hand".

It would be easy to think (as I did) that it'll be easy to sort out what's needed when we get there.... It's only when you start the journey in supporting elderly relatives that you realise how little of it is instinctive, and how much you don't know. Equally you don't realise how much time some of it takes to arrange and manage, so the value of Michaela coming on that journey WITH us, has been absolutely priceless.

Michaela helped me and my family with advice and costructing a complaint with regards our daughters surgery being cancelled and the lack of communication throughout and in the interim.

It was a very stressful time for us due to our daughter being very worked up ready to go to surgery and we couldn't give her any answers and due to her disabilities she was already very anxious.

Michaela was a great help with dealing with the admin, giving advice on the process of dealing with the attendance allowance, the council with grabrails etc for the house, researching and recommending care agencies and general advice with the process of obtaining and implementing care for my elderly mother.
