Thought these were OK until it came to getting our deposit back. Absolute chancers, trying to claim practically the full deposit for items that we aren't responsible for. We had ensured the property was fully cleaned before we left. They're just trying to drag things out in the hopes they can keep hold of money that is rightfully ours..No Recommendations at all ..
I leave Hier some photo how we leave the house for which we don’t receive any deposit back ..

So far fine, until it comes to return the deposit back. They claimed huge amount on little cleaning things. I opted to go with DPS to resolve the dispute and there decision is to return half of the money they claimed. Much appreciated DPS help. General advice, please take good photos when you move in and then moving out from the property so you have a proof, I missed that. Secondly always use DPS to resolve the dispute, this will save your money. Good Luck.

Terrible, lack of communication. I was given an app to track my house sale progress and never heard from a human being unless I chased them first. Errors in the listing. Lack of follow through on viewings. Negative attitude, suggesting I should put planning permission in place, change right of access to the property to amend things that weren't an issue, such as no off-street parking for a victorian terrace where you wouldn't expect parking in the first place. Left lights on in my unoccupied property for a week between viewings on more than one occasion and left loft hatch open during cold weather costing me extra money. Needless to say I had to change estate agents . I had the impression the whole time that they just didn't care. I would NOT recommend if you are wanting a professional and proactive agent to sell your home!

They are the worst letting agents I've ever seen and I've been a tenant for 15 years, including 5 years in the UK. They are shocking, if you are a tenant or a landlord, you should definitely avoid them. They put me (when I was 9 months pregnant) with my husband in an old-fashioned home without any basic check to make sure everything works properly. For the first few days we saw that the boiler is not working, the shower is not connected and there is a leak in the kitchen. Then they sent us a contractor who preferred to just stand and look, call friends and eat crisps rather than do his job. When we started refusing access, because the contractor did not perform his work as it should be (for example, he was changing the toilet flush 6 hours!, saying 'oh, that's fine, I earn 30£ per hour') and we wrote to the agency that we would like to move out, they sent us an eviction notice. I could write a lot more, but it's not worth it. They gave us a lot of stress and frustration. The only nice person in the office is Lauren, who always apologizes for any inconvenience. The rest of the staff are more than rude, terrible and extremely unfriendly, without any empathy. They are so extremely rude that they can even shout at you in your own home. Lauren, you should consider moving your job to any better company, as you are a polite person, not up to 'Monsters & co's' standards. 😉 And to anyone: please, do not rent house on 2 Lime Avenue, it might look nice in the first glance, but it's a hovel. 😉

If I could post a 10 out of 5 star review for Martin & Co., I would. I decided to use their services after seeing 3 or 4 properties in my area being sold very quickly by this estate agent - and importantly, none, apart from one, came back on the market. Jo originally valued my house in May, it took me a while to decide but there was no pushy behaviour from her team. Finally in July I took the plunge, Jo and Claire saw to everything, including 20 viewings and 5 offers. Both ladies are definitely in the right jobs and their diplomacy and personal skills in keeping everybody happy are second to none (I'm sorry guys but women are just so much better at sales!). They certainly know their trade, living in the area themselves for the majority of their lives and work very hard to ensure that any offers are substantiated. Jo takes the time to explain your options and give any advice and their knowledge of local solicitors is also invaluable. Martin & Co. are worth EVERY penny for their services (which, incidentally are not expensive!) It is also worthwhile using the services of their mortgage broker, a very personable service which also allows things to be kept 'in-house'.
The team at Martin & Co. don't just sell houses - they have helped me achieve my dream of being able to surf regularly and have a dog. I will be eternally grateful to them for that! Thank you Jo, Claire and the team - surf's up for me!!

I was a witness to the phone call made by Mace to the Doncaster branch . He called to enquire when payment would be made for a 3 week job that he had completed in a property they managed. He had already been given two dates of payment which had lapsed. The work in the property had been inspected and deemed as excellent with his business card being requested as they were always looking for good tradesmen ( after Mace’s experience I know why they are always looking ! ) Mace spoke to the first administrator asking when payment would be , after the conversation the administrator relayed that he was being aggressive, I was dumbfounded at that response 😲 at this Mace asked to speak with the manager . He spoke with this agency administrator and went through his dates again for payment that was given to him by two other admin staff previously and was told it would now be the following week after the bank holiday . Mace asked for his card to be ripped up as he now no longer wanted to do any more work for this agent and would let his fellow tradesmen know at how they would be treat. This manager then informed Mace that he was making a threat😳 . Mace in no way was aggressive he did not raise his voice he did not threaten the staff and he did not use bad language, at no point did Mace threaten the staff …The two staff need to look up the definitions for aggression and threat and if they are scared of phone calls then they are not in the correct job ! I was absolutely appalled at these two staff members treating a tradesman as if he was a mere know body and I would suggest a course in customer services be taken . Mace is a veteran of the armed forces and has seen and been through some horrendous things. To be told he is aggressive and threatening was way out of order and to be spoken to in a condescending manner was appalling! Mace has asked for a recording of the conversation to be made available as he asked if it had been recorded he was not informed the conversation would be recorded at the onset , surely this is unlawful ? Better procedures need to be in place for tradesmen, with dedicated staff that actually care and can provide help with concerns when asked , they should not have to beg for payment . I bet the staff in the agency don’t have to beg for their pay at the end of the month!!!!
