I can't praise the Cambridge Citizens Advice enough. The wonderful lady (Usha) who has been helping me with various aspects of settling into my new home wasn't daunted or phased throughout. The level of professionalism was a sheer pleasure even when I happened to 'blank' while answering questions.
Thank you all so much for doing what you do.

Had a really lovely lady advisor a few weeks ago, she asked questions, made suggestions and offered advice. I was further emailed with advice to contact a company in question and offered to contact again if I needed further help. Today I contacted Citizens to feed back and ask for further onward Support/ Advice. I was told by the male ‘we won’t be helping you’. This was done by a completely different person who on a unrelated issue a few years ago when asking for support and advicce, he still does not listen! Never understands? Asks you what your point is and what do you want us to do?
I asked him if the person who I originally spoke to could be contacted? He could see on the screen, this is how I was responded to…. ‘I spoke to a supervisor and we won’t be helping you as we would have to help with more than one letter!’ (Obviously the descision was his information to the supervisor)!
So basically ‘computer says NO!’

I What a let done by these people when previously experiences and support has been excellent. The man in question I wonder what he does help with or why his attitude is always the same with any query? I had asked him finally ‘ so what do you help with as every time I ask you, you never listen, never understand ? And always refuse support’ his reply was ‘it would take too long!’
Just so we all know in advance!

Everytime I try to call them, no one is at the phone. I am currently trying to call them now and I have currently been waiting coming up to 1hr now. This is a problem that I have faced for over 2 years now where no one answers, I even had them hang up on me once, straight after waiting for ages.

They try their best. They really helped me out recently after being made homeless. But their service is so overstretched it's ridiculous. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to make contact and eventually I got a response 5 days later. They helped me out with 2/3 things I had requested for which is great, but no talk of helping me appeal a claim I made.
