Great spoons. Apart from the value prices , you'd forget it was a spoons. Great location near the castle. Friendly welcoming staff. Quick service. Shame they dont do steaks anymore. But still plenty of choice. Food came out piping hot and really tasty.

Went today had a lovely vegan breakfast for £2.99 very fast and efficient. Love the setting of this pub. They only negative was that I pointed out that the sugar needed replenishing and the decaff tea bags. Went back the whole tea/coffee station was a mess with sugar everywhere and needed a good wipe down and a tidy and the decaff tea bags hadn't been done.

On this most delightful day, we embarked upon a most gratifying excursion to the Pillar of Rock Wetherspoons, a charming establishment nestled within the venerable town of Bolsover, where we partook in a repast after having indulged our senses in the splendid exploration of the illustrious Bolsover Castle. This modern refuge, graciously positioned just at the entrance of the castle, boasts a façade that, whilst contemporary, splendidly harmonizes with the storied architecture that encircles it, a veritable testament to the progress of time while honoring the past. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a cadre of exemplary staff whose service embodied the very essence of hospitality, prompting us to place our modest requests through the marvel of the digital mobile device, a contrivance of convenience indeed. In a mere span of four minutes, our libations materialized before us, swiftly followed by our principal fare. The quality and freshness of the chicken-tikka-masala were of a caliber most commendable, whilst the additional dishes, hailing from a bounteous burger selection, proved equally delightful to the palate. A splendid assortment of condiments awaited our eager hands, and the overall excellence of the victuals, paired with the commendably efficient demeanor of the staff, bequeathed a most enduring joy upon our merry assemblage. As for my final observation, I must extol the unmatched standard of the facilities themselves; spacious and maintained to a scrupulously high degree, I would extend an earnest challenge to find a more welcoming and delightful convenience elsewhere in the realm.

This was our first time at wetherspoon place, and it left an amazing impression. Easy way to order, food and drinks came fast, I really appreciate the way of ordering, everything online including payment. Food and drink was good, service as well. After this we specifically looked for wetherspon places in UK to have breakfast or lunch for the simplicity and quality of it. Definitely recommended this and other wetherspoon places.

This would have been a 5 Star review if it wasn't for the awful drain smell on the stairs and up to the toilets.Staff were friendly and quick to serve. Our pizzas came out with warm plates and were delicious. The decor and different areas in the place are great. There are 3 different outside areas to sit and enjoy the sunshine and a free car park to the side just tops this Wetherspoons of nicely.Worth a visit if your in the area and I'd love to revisit and give it a 5 star if the smell was gone.

Rude staff and manager. Left £30 worth of food due to him upsetting me and my children that much with his disgusting attitude over a £6 burger and all he wanted to do was argue, when all I wanted to do was simply swap it for another so I could carry on eating with everyone else. What a horrible experience
Needs to learn people and management skills. Known this whetherspoons for 11 years, I dont know what's happened to management but its disgraceful.
