Myself and my partner used Woodward solicitors to purchase our first home together. Danielle, Angela and Hannah were super friendly and constantly keeping us up to date with the progress of the buying process. Whenever we have had any questions or queries they have always been available to chat to and provide help.

We found it really helpful to receive weekly digests and updates on the process and felt we were always up to date with how far along the buying process we were. In total the process took around 13 weeks which is faster than we had expected, Danielle constantly updated us and made everything very smooth and has allowed us to feel relaxed about buying our first home. We will definitely use Woodward Solicitors in the future!

Woodwards values copied directly from their website and it could not be further from the experience I had.
Unless you have all the time in the world to tell a solicitor how to do their job then DO NOT USE! With just 2 weeks to go before completing on our new home, our file was passed to 6 different solicitors due to ‘annual leave’ and ‘back to back meetings all day’ to whom we’re all very judgemental and jumped to a whole lot of conclusions and speculation, as no one took a genuine interest building a relationship with us as clients or listened to us, they are all very cold and never took accountability for their mistakes especially BETH, RACHAEL and VICTORIA. So my families personal details, statements, absolutely everything was looked into by 6 people unnecessarily because one couldn’t do their job properly in a timely manner. Therefore, I spent 2 weeks trying to jump through hoops they were very unhelpful and genuinely do not care. I was asked multiple times ‘do you want to close the case’ when raising my concerns. One mistake being.. once we exchanged contracts they amended my completion statement to which I had to seek legal advice from another solicitor about, as this shouldn’t happen and put me in yet another situation due to their lack of care and professionalism and it was cross checked by all 3 solicitors and they all missed the error which at this point did not surprise me. Did they care? Absolutely not! My experience with these was so poor and honestly traumatic and really made the whole buying a house process so stressful especially with two young babies. Will anyone call me out of courtesy from their management team to find out more how their staff treat clients, absolutely not! Please go elsewhere, please!!

I was so disappointed and frustrated in the service i received for me this was a straight forward sell as the buyer was a family member with no chain yet it took almost 6 month. There seemed to be no sense of urgency whatsoever from anyone with the exception of Angela (Ormskirk office) and this really left me feeling frustrated and more importantly out of pocket as i feel i paid at least 2 extra mortgage payments. I did offer feedback to the director but again felt i was being offered lip service rather than a real interest in the feedback. Anyway if you do chose to go with this company i would request Angela as she was the only person that actually delivered
