What is going on ?
Something is up with this firm at the moment, the basics of professional service just aren't happening. We hope for their sakes that whatever is going on gets resolved so they can get back to doing a proper job.
We appointed them via email in January to do a simple legal process. But after 2 months when we cancelled their appointment, we hadn't received any acknowledgement of appointment, introductory letter, T&Cs, statement of account etc. Not so much as a slip of headed paper. Let alone doing the work for which we had appointed them in the first place.
They (not mentioning individuals) made a couple of promises to send paperwork through over email, but missed those dates without explanation, and rarely if ever responded to emails, or picked up the phone when we tried to call.
It was so poor, we were left scratching our heads. How can a professional firm act this way ? They must be distracted. They had better get it together soon.

Tired, shocking, rude, does not know the law!!

Yesterday morning, I had an appointment at Woodlands Davies... I arrived promptly for my 10am appointment, I was asked to take a seat. A lady came out and asked, "Are you here to see me?" I said I think so. I walked into a room where I could see straight away she wasn't ready for me, she said. " I haven't even turned my computer on!" I proceeded to explain to her the reason for my being there.. I was looking for advice for financial matters in my divorce. She looked physically annoyed, like her blood was boiling. I found out that she was a soldiers wife. (My divorce was from a soldier) I genuinely felt belittled. She told me that because the degree absolute had been done, basically, I don't stand a chance, which was completely untrue... false information, as even I knew before, I came to your practice that anyone has a right to proceed with financial matters 20 years after divorce if they want!

She had no idea of my background nothing... would NEVER recommend to anyone... Shocking.

In March 2022 I sold a property to a couple, and the Woodland Davies partnership acted as their solicitor. In order for the couple to purchase our property we provided them with a £75000 loan secured on the property. I contacted Land registry and they replied today, that despite two further requests for further information, they had received no reply from Woodland Davies. A solicitor should respond in a timely manner, and this certainly has not happened. Through taking a risk in order to help out the purchasers we have been badly let down.
