I found this firm, not particularly efficient I didn't get the solicitor that I thought I had hired. The assistant always seemed to find every task a chore. She failed to notice a flaw in the title of the property that I was buying, it was myself who spotted it, then down graded its importance as it meant more work for her. I withdrew from the purchase as a result, but sold my property.
I was still charged over £1000 on top of my sales fee for the time spent on the failed purchase.
I have voted with my feet and found a much happier and professional solicitor.
This is simply my experience, which I hope is of help.

This is the second time we have used Bartys for our conveyancing. Karen and the team were very prompt at dealing with any queries and moving things along and as a result our sale moved through quickly. I had a bad experience with this firm. The full cost of their services was not explained fully to me at the outset, but worse rather than receive the attention of the solicitor I believed I'd hired, I found myself in the hands of her assistant (a very nice man as it happens, but still). The worst came with the failure of the solicitor to follow the surveyor's instructions, noted clearly on the Home Report of the property I was purchasing, to make sure that insurance was available at normal rates due to the location of the property being considered a flood risk. This information was not obtained with the result that I met with an enhanced insurance premium. Thus I would not recommend using this legal firm for conveyancing.
