The process of applying for criminal injury compensation can be very long and, at times, quite frustrating. One of the most difficult parts is the lack of regular updates from CICA—they often don’t inform you of what’s happening with your case, and it can feel like you're left in the dark. It’s also confusing when the person handling your case keeps changing, which only adds to the feeling of uncertainty.

That being said, I want to sincerely thank Isha and Libby from the Criminal Injuries Helpline. They were both incredibly helpful and kind throughout everything. Whenever I reached out, they were quick to respond, always patient, and did their best to explain the next steps clearly. Their support made a big difference, especially during such a stressful and emotional time.

While the overall system definitely has its flaws, the care and professionalism I received from Isha and Libby made things a bit easier to cope with. I truly appreciated having them in my case. 🙂

I fail to believe that these reviews are genuine, if you check trust pilot you’ll see a very different response. I wasn’t kept updated throughout the claim, just sent spam mail by them instead, wrote to them to check what was happening and I was advised my claim was rejected, without them telling me. They advised that they text me, but knowing the situation I’m in my mobile number is unlikely to be the same. I have no email from them, yet they claim they have. I have got upset about this and you have people who know nothing about you, just the basics start to be rude to you and change their tone once they know they won’t be profiting off your misfortune. My fault for thinking someone via a Facebook advert would be competent and legitimate enough. Wouldn’t recommend.
