I recently used AcklamBond for both the sale of my old home and the purchase of my new one, and I couldn’t be more impressed. A special thank you to Julie Meeks and Louise Robinson, who were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. Even with some complications along the way, they handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and great communication. They kept me informed at every stage and went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed as smoothly as possible. If I could give 0 stars I would. They contacted me yesterday via email (6 months after I moved house) to say they had made an error in charging and expected me to cover the additional cost of their error. I've just got off the phone to Louise who had a very bad attitude - her exact words were "everybody makes mistakes" and when I advised that we usually don't expect others to pay for our mistakes, she replied "well most people do".

Disgusting attitude - be VERY aware before deciding to use this solicitor, who knows what they'll decide to charge me more for next!

***Edited to respond to below - I have never said that I had any issues with the service during my purchase - the problems arose afterwards when I was asked for more money despite receiving and paying the final bill. Nowhere in my review did I say I was unhappy during the purchase. What you are failing to remember or mention (of course) is the attitude of the member of staff who I spoke to during this issue, again, as outlined in my review. I stated to you via email that I would consider removing my review if the member of staff apologised for her attitude, which she didn't. So the review stays.

Furthermore, I never provided you with any "incorrect information" - it was your own staff who made the mistake with the fee because you didn't change it on your system when my first purchase fell through. That's not incorrect information from me - that is a mistake on YOUR behalf. Unfortunately I am not blessed with the ability to update your computer system when things change, as they so often do with property purchases. May I draw attention to the email response from yourselves where you agree the fault lies with you for not updating your information correctly. All your response has served to do is make you look even more dishonest and incompetent. Hopefully, people will take this interaction into consideration when selecting a conveyancing solicitor in future.

Used acklam bond for both my sale and my purchase.extremely efficient always responded to emails phone calls the same day. Nothing too much trouble. I would definitely recommend Julie and the conveyancing team .

We where first time buyers going for our first house through an auction. Very friendly team! Was a few hiccups on the way but there where sorted in the end. Very friendly and communicated our preferred methods when requested! Have to say their cost was very much worth it though, if we bought another house would go through with them again.

Very poor. If there was a zero on here I would use it.... Left us packed for 2 weeks from original move date to when we actually moved house, and out of pocket as they did not check that paperwork was signed by our buyer prior to move date... We had to do all chasing and very poor communication from start to finish. They then billed us incorrectly and wanted more money after the move when we had already paid their bill. Very, very highly unprofessional.Would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND if you want a smooth move.. probably not enough room on here to list all the problems we encountered using acklam bond......

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Be careful dealing with this firm. They didn't advise any costs at the start then hit me with a £2.6k bill. I did all the work they just forwarded my emails on then charged me ridiculous fees for forwarding on my emails which I was never told costs. Very dishonest, uncaring and quite frankly daylight robbery. We lost our case which got handed over twice and I didn't even hear from them for over 3months due to "Internal issues"? ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
22.07.22 I am now adding to this review which I left last week as I cannot reply to the owners ridiculous reply saying they gave me costs - I am the Managing Director and have run my company for 7 years, if you gave me the costs at the start then quite clearly I would not be writing this TRUE statement would I? When I asked you guys to provide me with proof you gave me costs when you slapped me with a £2.6k bill for terrible and inaccurate work you refused - please check the file and all correspondence! YOU NEVER GAVE ME COSTS!!!!!! I'VE USED YOU 3 TIMES WHEN YOU HAD A DECENT SOLICITOR WORKING THERE THAT OUTLINED COSTS AND HAS NOW LEFT YOUR TERRIBLE BUSINESS - I WONDER WHY!!!? THE STAFF I DEALT WITH THIS TIME WERE BEYOND SHOCKING AND NEVER GAVE ME COSTS!!!!!!!! I find it funny how the first 2 times I was never charged for emails and telephone calls and now the 3rd time you've decided to slap me with a load of charges that were never agreed or even advised!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!!
