We recently bought and sold a house and used Ford banks Irwin as the conveyancer. Our solicitor Tas was excellent and helped us every step of the way. Tas gave us great advice at every stage of the process and helped us with every stage of a very stressful process. Tas was only a phone call away and was very easy to contact which is great when you often need to speak to someone right away.

Absolutely fantastic at a really reasonable price!
We dealt with Tass who was brilliant - really personal service and as a qualified solicitor, he really knew the wider potential issues which could slow things down and made everything run as smoothly as possible including advising other conveyancing firms in the chain with less experience.

Incompetent in the extreme with little knowledge of British property law. Managed to torpedo a perfectly honest and legitimate property purchase by insinuations of fraudulent money transfers etc. As sellers we benefited from the deal falling through as the house's price has gone up 15% since. However it left the purchaser they were representing out of pocket to the tune of almost £1000 in extended survey fees.

According to this pair of solicitors, a property transferred without cash from one party to another, years ago, can apparently never ever be sold because for some odd reason the previous owner and his (in this case non-existent) children can stake a claim, despite not being on the title deed, or having charge on the property etc.
