I have honestly lost all faith in Forest Gate Corby. The after care is appalling. I have a service plan that I pay monthly for, and my car which is not quite 3 years old went in for a service a little over 3 weeks ago. This was its 4th service because I do high mileage. They informed me before I hand that I would need a new timing belt, costing me Ā£700, which I had budgeted for. They picked up my car in the morning, then I get a phone call later in the day asking for payment of nearly Ā£1100, I explained I have a service plan so it should be Ā£700, he took the payment and phoned me back saying I needed to pay for my service as what they charge me for monthly is based on 3 services. I flat out refused to pay, with the manager of the service centre getting stressed out with me on the phone explaining they were under a lot of pressure. Can’t handle the heat, then get out the kitchen. He said he had arranged for my car to come back to me, as if to say they were going to keep it because I hadn’t paid for the service. The lady who returned my car, knocked on the door handed my cars and receipt and left without any acknowledgment or hello. Extremely rude. My argument was that it was never explained to me that my monthly payments was based on 3 services so thought this was incredibly unfair to charge me for this 4th service. He said he would be in contact the following day to arrange a new service plan that was more in line with the miles I was doing. Did I hear anything? No. I will be in the same position again when my car is due its next service or its first MOT. The sales staff are perfect, however the after care treatment is disgusting. They let my mum drive around without any MOT for nearly 12 months, where they said they completed it last July, and charged her for it, but never actually carried it out. Imagine if she had an accident, her insurance would be void! This was then followed by a rude member of staff when she tried to book it in for a service who said ā€œit’s not my fault your car isn’t workingā€. The treatment they have also given my sister regarding her hybrid car, which would not start on multiple occasions either, failing to help. I strongly recommend to avoid Forest Gate Corby for any services or work to be carried out. Me and my family have been long term customers and we honestly cannot wait for any finance agreements to finish so we can end our relationship with them and move elsewhere.

We was very concerned about the recent experiences of family and friends when buying cars so we went to Forest Gate Corby as my Late Father spoke highly of them and we was not disappointed, Darren was absolutely first class no pushy sales talk, genuine concern and we was very happy with our purchase, Darren sorted everything out for us and even gave us a after sales telephone call a week later, weknow if we have any concerns we can go back with no problems, all the staff were wonderful too. Thank you, we are now very confident in our purchase

Awful customer service lately and we have been with Forest Gate for over 10 years.
My mum was told ā€œit’s not my fault your car has stopped working - what do you want me to do?!ā€ … literally get it booked in to be looked at ..
Secondly - my Ford Kuga PHEV died - I found out through another customer that the service manager (?) said ā€œI calmed her down - I live with my wife and daughtersā€ when I wanted it sorted … got to love a bit of misogyny.
We will be doing all we can to move away from Forest Gate as soon as we can.
It isn’t driven by family values anymore … unless they are the family values of a hormonal teenager who doesn’t like to be bothered.

Edit - addition of info - this terrible service also includes failure to actually undertake an MOT on my Mum’s car (last year) and allow her to drive it without an MOT until she had a notice about it … she received a certificate for the ā€˜MOT’ that never actually happened (it had a different reg on the reverse). Her service plan had the phantom MOT deducted from it. Great work guys.

In response to Forest Gate - no, I have not escalated to senior management. I don’t feel it will get me anywhere and would much rather be done with the company and the staff who are appallingly rude (granted - some staff). I’d prefer to warn others about the condescending manner of some staff and the inability of others to actually do their job.

Came to Forest Gate with a steering problem and my car needed a new steering rack from the start to the end they were excellent I told them it was under warranty and I didn’t have to worry about a thing as they sorted everything out from sending the diagnostics to the warranty company to getting the part in and getting my car fixed and sorted was told I would have to wake a week for my car to be fixed due to waiting for the warranty company to authorise but as soon as it was done they started the work straight away and I only had to wait 2 days as they made my car a priority great gareh lovely staff very welcoming. Will deffinetly use again and recommend to family and friends šŸ™‚ thanks again guys

I definitely do not recommend this! The thermostat broke after just a few months of use. I reported the issue under warranty, but instead of resolving it, they started blaming me. The customer service was rude and completely incompetent. What’s worse, the car sat in their parking lot for 4 days, and they didn’t even check it! A total waste of time and nerves – avoid this place at all costs!

When trying to collect a vehicle, the staff treat you like dirt on there boots, very unhelpful and cannot find the vehicle, or they find the vehicle but not the keys.
Couldn't organise a p up in a brewery. FORD what a joke
