Recently phoned up for a price on a conveyancing matter and was given the response from one of their solicitors "Oh we have a stance on that, we just don't agree with it." I was then sneeringly told "You might find another solicitors willing to do it but not us".

I'd phoned five other solicitors who all happily gave me a price for the service. Most bizarre interaction I've ever had with a solicitor in my life.

Lovely staff can't say the same for solicitors as what a difference a few years make. This house sale has turned out to be dreadful using Appleby Hope and Matthews. Very badly organised service been 5 months to buy a house no onward chain will be last time I use them. Been great in the past no compassion they are aware my client is 9 months pregnant and were asked to have completed October/ November. It's now December no further forward poor communication how things have changed.
