I spoke to the trainee solicitor Dunja Ruzic.
I requested the approximate VAT cost on the prices quoted. She was not able to confirm this, which is okay. However she proceeded to calling clients "rude". I think it would have helped if she was calm and patient and declined the request if it sounded unreasonable for her.
It's important as a client to compare prices and it's not nice to be called "rude".
