Very helpful from the start. Loads of good advice from the outset on a claim which had already been paid out by Barclays. Even after I received a further refund Brunel Franklin continued to advise me on how to pursue the claim further through the Financial Services Ombudsman. I never thought I’d had PPI and wasn’t bothered about checking until I heard about Brunel Franklin’s free check. With nothing to lose I gave it a go and was left beyond speechless when I found out I had been mis-sold PPI on a very old Barclays overdraft and I was owed £3000! The process was so easy. When one of my loans was less than £3000, in the late 1990s. was interest free, and had an option to defer for 1 year (I didn't, I wanted to start paying off straight away), I was very happy to receive more that £3500 compensation (before commissions). I was unsure whether I had any outstanding PPI to claim and was happy to put the search for this into the hands of Brunel Franklin. As soon as i contacted them they immediately took action and ensured that I was kept informed of progress and current activity. Where PPI was not found I was informed promptly. If you are like me and unsure if you have had PPI then I would suggest that you contact Brunel Franklin. I did and the service I received was excellent from start to finish. All the hard work was done by Brunel Franklin and all I had to do was answer some questions. I was very pleased with the result, as I was unsure to begin with as to whether I had a PPI claim or not. Brunel Franklin found that I did have a valid claim and I was duly paid ,and was extremely happy with the result.
It was a bit like winning something nice on the lottery. As the saying goes "I your not in it - you can,t win it"

PPI companies get a bad rep. I avoided them for years. I tried to contact my bank myself, and got completely stonewalled. Eventually I decided to contact Brunel Franklin - not as the result of a cold call, I note. No company that cold calls me will ever get my money. 🙂 Yes, going through a claims company is expensive, you are throwing a bunch of your payout, if there is one, away.

However, as I wasn't going to pursue PPI by any other means, I decided I'd rather throw away potential cash to a company of my choosing, rather than the bank that swiped it to start with. I filled in the forms online, and then proceeded to completely ignore PPI as successfully as I had done for the years previously. In due course, I won a couple of claims. Could I have done it myself? Maybe. But I didn't. And wasn't going to by that time.

Brunel Franklin did what it said on the tin, yes it cost their fees, but that was outweighed by getting money back I would never otherwise have seen. They were upfront about fees at the start, and I don't regret my choice. I'd use them again.
