Could not fault. So thankful for the services of Ipswich Citizens Advice. I'm not from the area, I was there to support a family member. Diane on reception was outstanding! A very empathic lady with a welcoming manner and smile. The service was mindful and confidential. We got taken through to an advisor called Caroline. Again, huge thanks and appreciation. Productive advise and contacts made. I went back the next day to thank the team. I was welcomed by Diane and I hugged her. So warm and concerned. In our hour of need it was somewhere to go! I have volunteered here & am about to return to volunteer. This CAB has such a warm friendly caring feel about it. It is a gateway system, where you initially share your issues and the CAB makes appropriate appointment for you to see a specialist in this field. It is free, confidential, impartial advice. If you are willing for your personal details to be kept on file confidentially, the statistics will be gathered and used to lobby the Government with an effort to change policies. I would urge anyone experiencing money difficulties, benefits, legal problems, landlords etc to contact the CAB, either by phone or in person.

Absolute rubbish service.. didn't call back when said they would. Then expect me to have everything on hand in 2 seconds flat no expectations then just hangs up on me. Absolutely rude.

Experienced, knowledgeable and willing to help volunteers, provide guidance to anyone who may seek information in the most various fields, from finance to housing to legal issues, etc. Free service.
Current office opening hours. Mon-Fri 9.30 - 5pm. Helpline opens at 9am. Easier to be seen with an appointment otherwise they might not be able to see you.

The receptionist is the loveliest person in the world, very sweet caring and update you about the whole appointment process. Can't say that about the staff. I've been to citizens advice 3 times. First two times the staff couldn't help much. 3rd time I had an appointment with a man who I found very rude. Didn't want to help much and at the end he refused to help me to call the debt company, visit lasted 3 minutes still he said they are too busy to help with this and kicked me out. I don't think it's a pleasant place to be apart from the reception. Hope l won't have to come back there at all.
