Not all are corrupt but a GOOD AMOUNT.. twice I've been hung up on and I've been nothing but polite... as polite as you can be when last year police attended your road 40 times for crimes and this year's been every week.. person in question is now public knowledge for a rape charge that's gone to court...had broken someone's window with a two person hacksaw and stood allowing the neighbor to take his photo... what did the police say? That's not sufficient enough evidence... he is being protected despite... the council? Oh we can't do anything you just need to report report report..... how many times does one person, two, three need to report it before they are evicted... he is a danger to himself and to society.... all you do is pass from pillar to post from one department to another and don't bother actually taking action... will it be until he takes someone's life or causes injury will you actually do anything? IF THIS WAS ANY OTHER CIVILIAN A LINE WOULD BE DRAWN AND WE WOULD BE ARRESTED AND THROWN IN JAIL!!! I AM AT THE END OF MY SANITY AND WILL BE MAKING SURE PEOPPE KNOW OF THE CORRUPTION WITHIN YOUR RANKS

15 minutes waiting & my call still was NOT answered!!!!!
Listening to same piece of annoying music.
'Please be kind to our advisers or the call will be terminated.........we haven't forgotten you!!!'

Tried the website but didn't get anywhere........kept getting: Forbidden Access...........what is this?.

Sorry but this is appalling service, someone seriously needs to get on top of the these services which are supposed to be provided for Ipswich householders.

It's amazing how government agencies & Councils can flout the laws about non-discrimination & employment of minorities that would have a private employer investigated & prosecuted. Ipswich Borough Council campaigns to achieve 'city' status but cannot even seem to provide basic facilities for its residents, such as adequate bottle banks or repaired pavements. I was living down a main street all of a mile & a half long, but literally not a SINGLE bottle bank from one end to the other. All the side streets seem to be impassable on the pavement outside usual working hours, because of pavement parking or lack of repairs, (even outside primary & nursery schools). Ipswich's uneven paving & broken kerbs are appalling & the worst I've encountered outside Eastern Europe! It's appropriate that they're flying the Ukrainian flag at their front door because I've been to that country 4 times & it's somewhere with pavements worse than Ipswich! I wonder how I've survived the town for over 3 years with only 2 falls flat on my face over dodgy kerbing or uneven paving . It's made all the worse because of the policy to turn off all street lighting for 7 hours every night. This might be an acceptable cutback in a village, but in an urban centre with so many industrial estates operating 24/7, it makes the plight of the shiftworker very precarious. (Not to mention the problem of drug- related street crime throughout Ipswich). Worse thing about it as how Ipswich Borough Council goes out of its way to squander Council TAXPAYERS money on moronic projects, (such as 'Digby the Octopus')! The official Council website is facilitated to complain about just about anything, but it is a waste of time as they do not accept responsibility for any issues, from those mentioned, to issues of housing & providing social services, (on which IBC has an appalling record...)

Corrupt to the core. The 1 star is for their online repairs reporting facility which works better than calling & being on hold for 30 minutes.

They spend 650,000+ on the town centre pavements but can't do adequate repairs for the tenants. Meanwhile the property has been paid for 20 times over already, so it's not like they can't afford it. One staff member told me it's a 40 year wait for new windows. Shocking!

3 years of the same complaint, i feel like a broken record, the council doesn't do anything, my mental health has worsened, police don't do anything saying it's a council issue, so what am I supposed to do because the council just don't care about antisocial behaviour, drug addicts taking over people's homes, causing noise problems and the rest of it ridiculous. I would give NO stars if i had that choice.

Thank you so much to Sherry for helping us secure a new home after we were given notice in our current one 10 months in. I was able to speak to Sherry about it very calmly despite the worrying situation we were in and Sherry was able to offer lots of suggestions to look into and spoke to an estate agent for us after there were some issues with the referencing to sort it out. We now have a new home to move into and also a way to help us ensure that should this ever happen to us again we can secure housing in the local area. Can't thank her enough, thank you again Sherry for everything you've done for us and for being so kind and wonderful!
