If you value your property purchase or sale avoid Marco at all costs. I very nearly lost out on my purchase. Luckily he was not my solicitor, but my vendor chose him which massively impacted me. Marco did not respond to emails or phones calls from my solicitor. His replies to my solicitor were extremely slow. He took 5 months to respond to original enquires often with incomplete information. Highly unprofessional solicitors. Avoid at all costs! As a first time buyer I would say I had a very awful experience and if took a lot of involvement from me and led to a a great deal of stress.
His own client ended up having to do a lot of work which Marco should have done himself, in order to get the property to complete in time.
I never write reviews, however I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience what I went through. Highly negative experience overall.

Sadly my experience with Marco has been tainted - As a first time buyer, I thought Marco was great when dealing with the purchase of my flat however it's come to light (now selling it) that he missed a lot of vital documents which has therefore cost me hundreds to resolve, as well as many hours of my time and risking my sale. My new solicitors have confirmed the documents he didn't provide were very important - Sadly, not being a solicitor myself or ever buying a home, I wasn't aware of these docs, let alone the risks! I feel like I've been majorly taken advantage of due to being a FTB

When contacting Marco politely asking if he could send me the important documents I was missing (hoping it was an admin error), he replied stating he'd take 2-3 days to retrieve them (great! - His email address was working then ha). It's over a month later, many emails down and zero updates or communication from him. It's clear the legal documents he should have provided me at the purchase of my home, were never obtained therefore he's now ignoring me and refusing to offer support. I'm extremely disappointed, I will no longer be recommending in future.

LOVE Marco! He knows his stuff but doesn't talk like a robot. He explains things in simple terms and feels more like a friend. He makes you feel so comfortable and I know I can trust him. Having lived in our house in Berkhamsted for 30 years and making the decision to move to Dorset, we had little experience of the Housing Market. Marco acted on our behalf in a most calm and professional manner, speedily executing all the legal documentation and advising us of the progress in a calm and reassuring manner. Indeed he was always available to answer questions whenever we contacted him on anything we were unsure of.

If is well known that buying and selling property is very high up on the stressful situations ladder! Marco certainly helped enormously in keeping us as calm and positive as was possible. He was a firm anchor in the whole process.

I've used Marco and AF Barker for several property transactions and he is awesome, giving sound, solid advice. He needs a little prod from time to time but every solicitors I have used for conveyancing does. Overall he does a great job and uses a common sense approach. Plus his fees are very competitive.
