If the HCC highways people actually did their job properly half the holes wouldn’t be there.unfortunately there ability to get the jobs done is appalling even a 3 year old could do a better job. Sack the entire workforce and get staff that can actually do their the job.last hole I damaged a wheel and new tyre, the local builders working nearby fixed the issue and no response from HCC about it.
Response time to repair the road is around 5 weeks, in the meantime over 100 cars could be damaged, response not our problem

Pothole that destroyed my wheel and tire causing me to spend £250 on a new wheel and tire “does not require action at this time”. This pothole is 4 inches deep, and 40cm wide which is well over all legal standards to classify it as an eminent road safety issue as well as this pothole being located on a single carriageway road right next to a row of houses and being frequented by dog walkers causing even more danger to public safety. Does the council not care about tax payers property and safety that they promised to provide a safe environment for or do they just care about their own pockets? With winter conditions here if a motorist were to hit this pothole, swerve into a house or even worse a dog walker will the council be happy to still claim this pothole doesn’t require action at this time? Will they admit liability for not taking action on a present and obvious danger? I will keep all the evidence and speak to locals who have also raised issue with this particular pot hole as this isn’t the first incident on this road. Disgusting response to my report.

I was shocked and also saddened to hear I couldn't be directed to the responsible person I could discuss the flag flying policy or rather the lack of...the council building has two magnificent flag poles yet I have never seen our national union flag flown from either!
Even though flying our union flag daily from government buildings is a published recommendation by Westminster!
I hope someone from the council can reply with a name and contact person I can discuss this issue with rather than a passivating response.

Being denied Home to School Transport for a child with SEN soley based on distance rather than actual ability to consistently walk or have awareness of her surroundings/Danger.

Absolutely disgusting as a service for vulnerable children. Why as a parent to a disabled child do we have to fight for everything? As if we haven't got things hard enough already.

As long as a box is ticked off these people don't care.

On hold for well over an hour with no answer trying to chase up an appeal. Where is the service?

I recently tried to contact my local council in relation to repeated parking violations near my house., Initially I tried my local council who promptly passed it over to Hampshire Council. It became apparent that the service had been outsourced and the operator was unable to help in any way only serving to add to my frustration by suggesting I spoke to the Police. The lack of ownership, accountability and ability to aid members of the public with genuine concerns is alarmingly poor, leading to a free-for-all and unhappy residents. The classic fobbing people off routine is completely unacceptable but an unfortunate sign of the times.

I don't suppose for one moment that this review will ever see the light of day with Hampshire council but I would welcome a response from someone in authority.

HCC parking services specifically. Stung with a parking charge of £70 for 6 mins absent from my car picking up daughter from school. More concerned with collecting fines and funds than actually doing something to repair roads and work to help residents. What is the solution to picking up children when you can't park near school? You can't park on grounds as gates are locked and double yellow everywhere.
Rung up the helping (based in sheffield), and the operator is rude, obnoxious, and clearly fed up with people ringing him.
Can't get an answer on services from them before 6 weeks, but within 2 days of overdue payments, they are hot on your case. Also, there is no consideration for those in the military who get deployed last minute. Therefore, timings slip on payment within 14 days for half price. Overall a poor facility that needs an overhaul.

They behave like bullies, I purchased a paper residents parking permit for Petersfield in March 2023. Fast forward 11 months to Feb 2024 and to my surprise I'm met with a parking fine left on my windscreen. My windscreen was misty due to freezing temperatures and the permit although still visible was more difficult to see than usual. Does this mean that everyone is liable to a parking fine during snow, ice, rain and freezing temperatures where your windscreen could become temporarily obscured? Completely unjust and not behaving within the spirit of the law where I had already paid £60.00 for the year. Will be forwarding my story to all local and national newspapers!
