My uncle made a will with WSL in 2003 making me an executor. I have changed address several times since their last correspondence. I contacted them to enquire if they were still the holders of the will, just trying to locate the will as my uncle is now elderly and infirm. I included the ref no from their last letter to me in 2008. They say they can’t tell me if it exists or if they store it, sighting GDPR. This displays a complete misunderstanding of GDPR legislation, slightly concerning for a legal firm.
Anyway we now have to make a new Will with my uncle as we can’t establish if his WSL Will is still in existence or where it is.
