They are not fit for purpose and are most definitely not independent or unbiased and are more than likely in the pay of the retailers. Submitted a lot of information including pictures and other supporting documentation regarding poor quality kitchen sink which showed scratches after 2 weeks of minimal use and all IKEA submitted was a single paragraph saying that we should have read a small piece of information tucked away on their website.
The adjudicator then responded within minutes of the final reply from IKEA and surprise they sided with them. Given the timeframe they most definitely did not even look at any of the evidence I supplied
What a complete and utter waste of time!!!!!!

Unregulated, 100 % Biased towards the energy company. Do not waste your time because your complaint is designed to fail and never be upheld. They will never ever ever let you win. They just simply copy and paste the company final response letter and say the consumer failed. They are not accountable to anyone. They do not have a direct dial phone number. You cannot speak to a person. When human beings fail to be accountable, their arbitration is pointless and worthless.

Absolute joke of a service. I made a complaint regarding bullying from Poundland staff where I was wrongly accused of being a problem.

I went to the CDRL and they deliberately ignored every part of the complaint that had evidence and then sided with the company and their corrupt practices.

I found CDRL website almost impossible to use. Even after emailing them to tell them I didn't receive a reply. I wasn't sure if uploading items to them were sent, received or used. I just never heard from them and couldn't understand the website layout at all or how to send them a message. I have had problems with Currys and being totally ignored by their customer services for a long time. After contacting CDRL I finally received compensation from Currys but there was no notes of a response from Currys or anything at all on CDRL site so I don't even know if or how much they were involved in my battle with Currys

I came to them to address the appalling customer service I'd received from IKEA and they helped to give some perspective by being even worse.

UPDATE: after 3 months of waiting for them to reach a verdict they instructed IKEA to pay me £50. Then after 7 days, because I didn't respond, they withdrew it and said the verdict was now not binding and the complaint was closed.

Utter jokers.

I have booked a holiday during covid, with Ryanair. They had cancelled the flight due to the covid travel restrictions. I claimed the money back as the cancellation was not from my side. They kept diverting me from one department to the other departments. Most were the wrong or messaging services. Long story short was, they were wasting my time and didn't want to refund. After wasting my 6 months I contacted the CAA they have guided me to the full process and through aviation ADR I got my full refund within weeks. Excellent service aviation ADR. Thank you.

Terrible experience and seemingly biased towards retailer. AVOID. Better off going to small claims court if you know you are in the right. You may get 20 or 30 quid but you won’t feel that justice has been done using this so called arbitration service.

The process is fairly simple however even if they find in your favour ( which in our case they did) the airline is not obligated to do anything over what the judgement was. They also have no way of getting the airline to give compensation beyond the statutory minimum. In our case the resolution found in our favour on all counts but did not get any of our non airline costs eg hotel back other than the legal minimum cancellation fees. It cost us over 2k and the worst thing is that Easyjet did not offer a proper apology
