I have just sold my house and couldn't be happier as the service I received from Move Home Legal meant that the whole process was a piece of cake! Not only did they keep me updated throughout, it was clear they had my best interests at every step. Vaughan Faulkes Arnold, who was in charge of my account, was incredible. Not only was he patient in handling my many questions, but he was highly knowledgeable and efficient at every step.

Darcy Parker has provided exceptional service and looked to understand us personally and detail the process expectations from the very start.

We needed the process to be priortiesed due to our landlord looking to end the lease as he needed to sell. Darcy ensured that documents were actioned as soon as they arrived.

Her communication with the third party was exceptional, ensuring an action plan to get each point addressed.

The fees were more expensive than the other solicitors, but I feel the service that I was provided and the timescales in which Darcy actioned my request warranted the additional.

Regarding negatives, I struggle to find any. They have a portal which has clear updates and a link which shows the process at each stage.

I can only assume the 4 star reviews are false, Move Home Legal have teams of unqualified assistants who handle your sale. They have qualified conveyancers they report to but they don't seem to get involved unless you phone them to complain. Generally they are not proactive and those on the front line don't seem to know what they're doing. I had a sale fall through after 7 months and the 2nd successful attempt took 6 months and turned my hair grey. This company are truly awful to deal with.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!

I have given them one star because otherwise I cannot post this review, but if possible, I would give them a minus review score.

This is absolutely the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Under-handed and sneaky, they worked with our buyer to scam us out of £3000 during what should have been a simple flat sale. If you find out that they are the solicitor for someone you are dealing with, run a mile.

They prolonged our flat sale endlessly (7 months for a zero chain sale), and seemed incompetent most of the time - my personal favourite was when they were suddenly non-contactable on a day we were supposed to exchange. They often failed, or were incredibly delayed in replying to messages or emails from my solicitor or estate agent, and, after forcing a simultaneous exchange and complete, decided that the price agreed by both parties was no longer the price to be paid. They went to my buyer's lender without notifying her mortgage advisor, my solicitor or estate agent, and reduced the mortgage amount by £3000, something which only came to light when my solicitor received the funds. When they were called to inform them of their error, they claimed that the amount sent was correct according to some erroneous sale memo that they mysteriously could not find to tell us the exact date of - they knew they were effectively cheating us out of a big chunk of money.

Sadly, we had no option but to take the hit, but are in the process of reporting them to the SRA and lodging a complaint with the Legal Ombudsman.

Dreadful experience. Bought a house using their services as the estate agency put us in touch. Massive charges. In my opinion the solicitor was not interested if the sale will go through as she could charge for the "work" she has done anyway.
Please ask your friends for a recommendation before choosing a conveyancer.
