I wanted to write a review of my experience with Orla O'Connor of Stowe Family Law.

Orla came on to my divorce case late on in the process and has been an absolute breath of fresh air for me. Orla is quick to respond both by phone and emails. I appreciate that she will give all options and explain things in plain English.

I have found Orla to be fast and efficient in her work, professional at all times but also friendly. I believe Orla to be a caring individual who can empathise with people.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Orla and believe she is a credit to her profession. I wish her all the very best for her future success and it has been an absolute pleasure having dealt with her.

I recently used David Allen from Stowe to help with increasing access to my daughter, which was beginning to be limited after separation from her mother. The goal I set David from the start was to guide me to achieving a 50/50 shared care arrangement for my Daughter. We successfully achieved this in advance of a final hearing which was a great relief to me.

The process is extremely stressful (nothing to do with David or Stowe) and David guided me expertly throughout. David counselled me against actions that he believed would be detrimental and he was not afraid to give me advice I didn't want to hear because he knew it was best in the long run. I was most impressed with David's focus on what was best for my daughter - Had my ex cooperated more reasonably David's advice would have saw his appointment reduced in favour of a quicker resolution for my daughter.

David's commitment to my daughter's wellbeing was communicated rationally and clearly through all the documents he produced. I believe this was a factor in my ex and her solicitor conceding to a 50/50 shared care agreement before a final hearing as they could not produce an effective counter argument.

From a father's perspective this process is hard and often unfair, its essential you receive the correct advice as one wrong step could cost you everything. I got the advice I needed from David and I now see my daughter every week and weekend with no more risk of her mother stopping this. I couldn't recommend David highly enough if you find yourself in the same position I did.

I highly recommend David Allen. He was excellent throughout the process of my divorce which was quite complicated at the beginning. David kept me up to date throughout the whole divorce process and the next steps taken as it can overwhelming at the time. David was also very supportive and his knowledge and advice was second to none. Thank you so much David Allen as I got the outcome I wanted.

As much as the solicitor was polite and friendly, £400 to find the information I can find anywhere online was honestly, dreadful. I never used a solicitor but since I was desperate for actual advice to see my daughter, I believed they’d do me some sort of justice. Honestly, no that was not the case. I will recommend that those who work a 9-5 job that there is other avenues of getting access or legal help to see your children. It’s not worth the money. Had I been offered something more from this, I’d have actually given a better rating but honestly, no I don’t believe that it’s deserved. The information given is can be found anywhere, I was advised stuff I already knew. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Contacted Stowe Family Law for help with access to our granddaughter because we didn’t feel like we had a voice representing ourselves. Nicky represented myself husband and son and we honestly couldn’t have chosen better. We contacted her a week before and interim hearing. It felt like she had been representing us from the start. She gave us the voice we lacked during the hearing. She found us a barrister who was just amazing again giving us the voice we desperately needed in court. We couldn’t fault Nicky at all, she was upfront and honest from the outset. Nicky and her whole team come highly recommended by us.
