I had Adam Carrollan representing me in court and got the result I wanted but most importantly the best for my daughter! He was very good at making me see things more clearer and helped me to relax when I felt really anxious about it all.
A good family barrister should have strong communication skills to effectively convey complex legal information to clients. They need to be empathetic and understanding to support clients during emotional family matters. Additionally, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for navigating legal issues efficiently. A good family barrister should also have a solid understanding of family law and stay updated on any changes in legislation. Lastly, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to work well under pressure are important qualities to look for in a family barrister. Adam Carrollan is the man!

I wouldnt' recommend this Chambers to anyone. They fail to investigate complaints into their Barristers with any kind of unbiasedness, professionalism or duty of care. Instead it took the Legal Ombudsman to investigate to evidence that not only had their Barrister- Mr Pirone failed to do his job correctly but also that they too failed in their role as his Chambers.

Rebecca Cross was booked to represent me at an FDR Court appearance in May. A friend accompanied me.
Ms Cross had done a good position statement, but at the hearing was only interested in trying to make me agree to the other sides offer. I had been advised by my solicitor to take this matter to court as the offer was rubbish, so why would I simply accept the offer now. Both me and my friend were dismayed.
Ms Cross was typing on her laptop, presumably to the other sides barrister , we were never told what they were saying, Ms Cross on a few occasions went to their interview room but they never came to ours . There , there would be his barrister, his solicitor, another person and my ex husband. We were kept in the dark as to what was being discussed. Myself and Ms Cross at one point had a heated exchange , she was making clear that she wasn’t very pleased with me and I made clear that I wasn’t going to budge. She rang my solicitor and put the phone on loud speak. I told her Ime not listening , and would rather let it go to a final hearing before I’d take this offer. She told me and my friend to go to the cafe and have a coffee. A while later , she came into the cafe, and said they had upped the offer of lump sum from £0 to £25,000. And the Judge wants to see us. The Judge was brilliant, straight talking no nonsense. The Judge told them that the offer was ridiculous, he also agreed with me on some of the issues that Ms Cross didn’t agree with and he put a cap on the settlement amount, told us to go away and come to the middle. This was done , an agreement was reached which way exceeded what Ms Cross wanted me to agree to. By this time it was around 4.30 and we had been there all day.
Ms Cross had been no help to me whatsoever. all she did was try to persuade me to take their offer, I paid a lot of money for the barrister and felt she really let me down. I would not recommend her.

My Barrister was absolutely amazing, caring, understanding, very honest with me and clearly explained everything in full detail, she was the most patient person I’ve ever had and want to thank her so much for her help. Absolutely terrible customer service. I have never come across anyone as rude as the lady who I was put through to today. Hung up the phone as I tried to ask a question. Unless you are very well spoken you will find these people judge you before they have listened to you. That's the impression I got.
