Receptionist is extremely unpleasant. I found myself muttering obscenities about her out loud after hanging up.

Long story short (ish), I didn't even get to the point of using these solicitors, as the receptionist was rude and also due to the fact that when I simply asked for a rough quote on conveyancing fees, I (politely) stated I needed it within a couple of hours preferably because it was the end of the business week, and if I could decide on a solicitor before the end of the day the house that I have an accepted offer on would be removed from the market, so my offer would be more likely to stand and not get outbid.

They promised to call me back within 10 minutes. An hour and a half later, no call. I decide to call back and explain once more than if they can't provide me even a simple rough quote within the next hour, I won't be using them. The receptionist then said they would call back within a few minutes. Almost an hour later, they called back and gave me my quote. However, during this time, I called another solicitor in the area and got a quote from them no more than 5 minutes after the call ended, AND the experience was much more pleasant!

This combination of rude solicitor + not even being bothered to generate a quick quote for me, which would take no more than 5 minutes out of their day for a potential client paying multiple thousands of pounds (and conveyancing is "easy" money for them, relative to the other services they provide), made me go with the other solicitor I called. I would name the other solicitor but not sure if that goes against Google Review's TOS, so I will leave it out.

I have a friend who has used this company before for conveyancing, and he also brought up the fact that the receptionist is rude (albeit he used much more colourful language). He, however, did go through with using them and said the actual solicitor(s) themselves were great, just the receptionist made the experience worse overall.

Very friendly people, but my experience of family law was poor overall. I would describe the provision of services as dated, inefficient and at times incompetent. Having said that they investigated my complaint and have promised steps to learn from my experience and feedback.
