Very nice lady who called and pointed me in the right direction in providing some useful information online...what I really wanted was an appointment with an advisor face to face...I received a call 3 days after my request, which was good however, I was caught off guard and was only half prepared..had to think on my feet and try to remember what questions I had because she called without warning...it was so awkward because she called when I had other people in the house so I had to excuse myself and took the call upstairs..I don't want other people listening in on my private financial business but felt I couldn't say call back in case I missed the opportunity of advice. Afterwards I realised there were 2 important questions I should have asked and didn't... previously I have been to Citizens Advice in Maldon who offer an appointment in their offices in private with an advisor..so much better, a booked appointment allows time to prepare, make notes and get together any paperwork needed. This was inadequate and disappointing...I can't go back to Maldon as I'm told I'm out of area so am no further forward which completely defeats the purpose.

Had advice here and was well impressed by the service offered. As long as you make an appointment well in advance you should be okay. Thank you Murray for your advice and support.

A valuable place. The help given here is outstanding. If your mood is one of anxiety, or anger at the many injustices in the world, this is where you get help. They fought
For me and I won. I will use them again if I need to.

I tried to telephone several times today before visiting going to your offices for the first time as you may be too busy to see me without any warning of my visit. Your phone keeps ringing and then a recorded message says unfortunately due to the high level of demand cannot take call. This means I will have to pay you a visit without prior warning.

Following the review above, I visited your office and guess what they were closed until Monday, 4th January 2016 - why oh why could you not have put a voicemail over on your phones with that info -not very inspiring for an advice bureau.

Absolutely gutted. The Advisor was absolutely inefficient, name is Marjina uddin. Repeating the advice again and again despite telling her that is not my enquiry. Not listened at all, she kept saying same advice she has told me 10 times already. I asked for a second opinion as I thought she may be not competent. Then a lady approached me by the name Sam Russell, told me she is a coordinator, first thing she told me that , you have to leave. How rude she is? She didn't ask me anything like what happened or nothing. Please don't visit there, not efficient, whatsoever.

Omg hard times this year , universal credit has left me broke this past few month's and have nothing for Christmas and gave them a list of debts , they made me an appointment for a debt person and a 30day holding letter to send them. They also called me today to say theyve had some donations today and someone from the food bank will drop them over Monday! How bloody nice, overwhelmed but also sad i cant buy kids presents as have to pay rent etc and the dad is a lowlife and cant work as disabled and don't get dla or anything. Sad times but no xbox etc this year kids
