Disgraceful and defensive attitude from a senior partner in residential not returning phone calls, not responding to emails re the sale of a house as a junior is/was ill. he made out that it was almost my fault !!!! Completely unprofessional especially as we have used TSP frequently in the past and experienced superb efficient service in all other areas

Would not recommend if you are purchasing a house. Long drawn out process that was completely unnecessary and communication from paralegals was next to none. You will have to chase this company continuously to be able to complete on your property. I made several calls to multiple external companies to assist with the completion on our house because our Paralegal was NOT keeping us updated whatsoever. The paralegal would email us on the odd Friday afternoon asking for information which would have easily been sorted out prior to the weekend when most businesses were open - this would be after I had sent several emails and called the paralegal chasing an update throughout the week. Our mortgage advisor and estate agency had to get involved to help speed along the process because it was taking so long. Embarrassing.
We were meant to complete in March and moved in mid May. The only reason I have given this 1 star (and wasted my time writing a review) is because it was cheaper than most. Patience and a smooth sailing house sale comes at a cost apparently! I would rather pay double for an efficient service, which we thought we were getting from the initial introduction.

For two letters sent, one with attachments still missing, I am being charged in excess of £8k…. It took TSP four months to respond to a letter I had gone to them with needing an urgent response. They are trying to handle my complaint but haven’t managed to follow their own complaints procedure. I requested a meeting to discuss the fees, it was made and then cancelled as the solicitor was too busy dealing with other clients. They have been quicker chasing their fee than they were dealing with the matter I had gone to them to deal with in the first place. I had to correct the second letter twice and finally had to have a meeting to put it right…. I would have expected more from a ‘top legal firm’.

Very nice lady travelled out to my mums home for a last will and testament consultation. She was there for approximately 20mins. It's not a complicated estate as there are two beneficiaries, one of which was to be written out completely leaving a single beneficiary. However when the hard copy of the will was received the full names of the two were completely incorrect, incorrect first names and surnames which caused my mother great distress due to the sensitive nature of having to exclude one beneficiary in the first place. She had also recently been diagnosed with cancer and was starting her treatment soon after the meeting with this lady and was advised that should she choose not to proceed with the will she would be entitled to a full refund which didn't happen. Small details are not only very important but getting them wrong can cause great distress as the back story might not be known. More care needs to be taken. Would not recommend.

We are buying a property and the Vendor is using these Solicitors, unfortunately there have been unnecessary delays, enquiries raised do not get answered sufficiently only partially. After being asked to prove changes to the occupancy of the property on 5th August, the death certificate or verification still has not been received by our Solicitors. According to the Estate Agents email the Solicitors reportedly are requesting a fie from archives as they dealt with probate ?
The offer for the property was accepted on 6th July, we have a buyer for our home and there isn’t anyone else in a chain.
So the dates speak volumes 6th July up to 13th September with no exchange of contracts, the Vendor hasn’t signed a contract, searches are completed and our buyer is ready to complete.

I’m new to this solicitors recommendation from a friend . Sam took my call asked many questions and came back very quickly ( and no charge ! ) very pleasantly pleased . Again popped into there Colchester branch the lady at reception was very helpful and put me in the right direction again , I certainly will use this company again !
