I instructed this company to extend my lease as a director of a freehold company 3 years ago. As they had already extended the lease on many of the flats they told me it would be a straight forward procedure, taking around 2 months. It took them 7 months largely because their wording to HMLR was incorrect. This meant my mortgage offer was reassessed, costing an extra 5% deposit (20k) and a higher rate. During this time, they were outright rude and self entitled to deal with, they rarely replied to calls and were unprofessional, never taking accountability.
They caused me a great deal of unnecessary stress which I am still frequently recallling. They are well known in Shoreham and not at all for good reasons. Mentioning them to many people locally, they tell of a similar experience with an unprofessional and poor service.

To cap this all, I am now selling the property, it transpires they have put incorrect dates on the lease, causing more months of delays with HMLR and of, course, more cost. Save your sanity and money and steer well clear.

Where do I begin?

Carla from Fitzhugh Gates has been amazing. My wife and I completed on our first home yesterday, and we cannot fault Carla's services at all.
