My husband and I only viewed one venue and that was Stratton Court Barn, we feel in love with it immediately! We chose to get married in the wonderful Ferne Wood.

Originally Karin was looking after us and when she said she was leaving, we were understandably concerned but Charlotte was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Her enthusiasm was incredible!

We were originally booked to have the meal in the main barn but once the Byre was built we swapped to that, with the DJ in the main barn.
The Byre is stunning and coupled with the stunning drapes from Something Borrowed, it was the most perfect setting.

Due to weather concerns we had plans a, b & c but luckily it held out for us and our dream of a woodland wedding came to life !

We even had our horse there 🙂

Nothing was too much trouble and with Charlotte in control we could relax all day. The family gave so many positive comments about her, her enthusiasm and passion. She is an absolute credit to SCB !

We would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone !

Where to begin.....

Myself & my partner don't live locally to Bicester/Stratton Court Barn and had stumbled across the venue online, after we had visited numerous venues in our local area, which didn't tick our box.

From the first initial contact, we knew Stratton Court Barn was the wedding venue for us.

The staff were friendly, efficient, thorough and really took the time to get to know us before our big day, no question is silly and no request too big. Charlotte was our wedding coordinator and was truly incredible, we cannot say enough nice things about her and our day really wouldn't have been as good as it was without her looking after us all.

The venue (both the buildings and the grounds) are truly breath-taking and clearly so well maintained. We wanted to make the most of the venue and both myself & my now husband got ready at the venue in the morning (in the stables and the granary cottage) and we would highly recommend this as the celebrations start early and with complete ease.

We absolutely loved that our dog could be part of our day too!

Our guests on our wedding day couldn't say enough nice things about the whole day and we could go on to say more but we just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams, we just wish we could do it all again!

We fell in love with Stratton Court Barn as soon as we saw it, and it was the only venue we ended up viewing.

We attended a couple of open days, which made us fall in love with the venue even more.

Charlotte was our wedding coordinator and what an amazing job she did!
From responding to various questions via email, to tips of how to organise our decorations that we had to hand over, even last minute changes a few days before the wedding and even on the day.

Everything ran so smoothly and was the more perfect day ever!

Everything was planned for an indoor wedding, due to it being October and not the most predictable weather wise, however luck was on our side and we had the most gorgeous day which meant we could spend more time outside.

Thank you Charlotte for helping the day plan so smoothly and perfectly. We honestly had the best day and you were a massive part of that.

We would love to redo it all

We had the most perfect day at Stratton Court Barn celebrating our wedding. It was the most magical day! We got ready there in the morning and we were looked after so well by the venue staff for the whole day. The bar was brilliant and our wedding co-ordinator, Zoë, was beyond perfect. She made everything happen behind the scenes, ensured everything ran to time and was generally a wonderful presence throughout. Everything flowed like a clockwork and we were supported through each and every moment. We loved every minute of our wedding in such a beautiful venue with such a lovely team. Thank you so much for making our wedding day more than we could have ever hoped for!

We had the most wonderful wedding day in this beautiful venue thanks to Charlotte and the rest of the team. Charlotte coordinated the day amazingly and it went really smoothly. The attention to detail was incredible and everyone was so helpful. The team took care of everything and accommodated to those who needed extra help on the day. What a fabulous venue for a wedding!
From day one of meeting Karin for our first look round we knew this was where we wanted to get married…….. Charlotte took over from Karin and we still got the same vibe nothing was too much trouble….. and she was ALWAYS on the end of an email if we needed help/advice……..
The venue it’s self was perfect for what we wanted… we hired the hay loft and stables for getting ready the morning of which helped us create the best atmosphere to start our perfect day… the barn was perfect for the ceremony and the wedding meal and nothing was too much trouble… we had disabled guests and they were looked after soo well throughout the day they were made to feel so at ease they were able to enjoy the day happily with everyone else with out a worry… kitty and the bar staff were excellent and catered for every need of us and our guests… Everyone at the barn made sure that our day ran like clockwork enabling us to relax and enjoy our perfect day….
I would recommend Stratton court barn to everyone looking for a wedding venue 100%

It seems wild to say that our original venue going into liquidation was the best thing that ever happened for our wedding...but it truly was as it led us to Stratton Court Barn and the wedding of our dreams 🩷

We contacted the venue only 4 months before the wedding and received an incredibly prompt, caring response from Charlotte offering to accommodate us despite it being last minute. This lovely initial response set the precedent for how our entire experience would go!

We knew pretty much immediately that this venue was right for us - we have always dreamt of getting married outdoors so Ferne wood was perfect. The barn really captured our hearts and the fact we could have our dogs there just made it!

Charlotte and Gemma are absolutely astounding at what they do. Nothing was too much trouble, they supported and embraced our vision entirely and we felt so much like they were invested in us as a couple and making our big day as perfect as possible after the hiccup we had had with our old venue.

Every member of staff we came across on the day was wonderful and Charlotte was just a machine! From early morning when we arrived to late in the evening when she left Charlotte was always on hand to coordinate suppliers, rejig timings due to weather (!) and answer any questions. Venue staff packed everything away for us perfectly on the night which made the whole process so smooth.

Stratton Court Barn was the perfect venue and we couldn't be more thankful ☺️

After really struggling to find a wedding venue we loved, it only took us 15 minutes to decide that we wanted to celebrate our wedding at Stratton Court Barn. It is the perfect size for a slightly more intimate wedding (55 day guests) but still has loads of space and different areas if you have more guests. The barn is absolutely gorgeous and the woods are so unique.

From the beginning Karin was simply magical. She was there to answer any questions we had and guided us through the whole process. The open days were such fun & an amazing way to get excited for the big day.

Our pre-wedding meeting was 2.5hrs long and we think that shows the attention to detail that Karin has. She gave guidance whenever needed and it always felt like she would do everything in her power to deliver the day that we hoped for.

On the day, Karin and all of her team were on top of everything. You could tell that their experience helped everything to run smoothly, we felt in such safe hands. Karin even drove us over to the woods so our outfits didn't get ruined!

It's nearly been a year since our wedding & we wish we could do it all over again! Stratton Court Barn is a beautiful venue & all of the recommended suppliers that we dealt with were a joy to have as part of our team for our wedding.
