Really beautiful stylish grown up garden centre with lots of lovely playfull touches like the giant deck chairs. All the plants are really healthy and wonderful quality. Lots of trees and plants I haven't seen at other gardens centrers. But leave your heels at home ladies as all the gravel walk ways have damaged the heels on my boots. I will definitely be coming back again soon.

I recently bought a tree from Nicholsons as a birthday present for my father-in-law. I was slightly unsure what I should be choosing but a member of staff was on hand to help me and gave me some excellent advice. The quality of the plants was brilliant and the nursery itself was clearly very well looked after. I will definitely be returning!

My wife and I have used Nicholsons over the years, they designed and planted the garden at our previous home and then carried out maintenance work for us for a number of years.
Last year we moved to a new home with a relatively small garden area. Although we had the advantage of a "blank canvas" the garden area is a complicated shape and bordered by a high brick wall. Having had great experience with Nicholson's before, we asked them to design the garden space and their designer, David Kurita-May came up with a really good design that both reflected our wishes and incorporated his own ideas. We then commissioned Nicholsons to carry out the hard landscaping and the planting and the end result is just stunning. As I write this in July 2017, the garden looks truly wonderful with plants that look far more mature than the 9 months since they were planted. It was a significant investment bearing in mind the size of the garden and we had a large quantity of the soil replaced as it was very poor but it was all so worth it. My wife and I are absolutely delighted with the whole process from the design through to the final planting and we have a fabulous garden to enjoy in the years ahead. Thank you Nicholsons.

Professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy garden and landscape experts.

We used Nicholson’s some years ago when we needed to deer proof our garden. The team that came out were super knowledgable and really professional. It wasn’t a particularly cheap job but you pay for quality and a job done well. This was 5 years ago and We haven’t had a single problem with muntjac which at the time we’re literally stripping back a newly planted garden by the day. I recently contacted Nicholson’s for some planting snd screening advice which we hope to do in the autumn. Libby who visited us was so knowledgable, really gave us good, cheerful with a no nonsense way about her and followed up with plans when she said she would. I really put my trust in these guys. They really know what they are talking about and when it comes to plants and planting / landscaping they are the experts. Highly recommended.

Nicholsons have been working with us to design our garden over a 2 year period through from design stage right through to implementing the designs and hard landscaping works. Throughout this time I have found them to be a company of the highest integrity and they have created a stunning cohesive garden out of a series of unloved bits of land. We’ve had contact with a large number of their employees who have all been highly professional and knowledgeable and the plants have all been superb quality as has the hard landscaping work right down to the construction of sleeper benches and a log store out of some old sleepers that were on site. All the stages of the project have been well managed with external suppliers brought in when needed for things like electric gates etc. They have also been good at dealing with the inevitable issues that can occur in any project. They are a very open and honest firm to deal with.

Quite the best nursery (for trees particularly, and shrubs) that we have encountered in many years visiting such nurseries. The quality of the trees/shrubs is first class, the prices are reasonable and the staff are knowledgeable, patient and most helpful. Likewise, their delivery costs are reasonable and their planting service superb.

Mine is a small garden which had no space to hide 3 ugly wheelie bins, whose entrance step up was too high and whose planting was very tired and in need of an uplift.

Nicholson's provided the complete service through from the carefully considered design, which answered the brief brilliantly, making careful use of the limited space available to provide a gentle three step entrance to my house through a beautifully finished doorway. The bins are now housed in a neat bin store and a small, matching tool shed enables easy access to garden equipment. The planting design has added character and much interest and I look forward to seeing it change through the seasons.

The hard landscaping team did an excellent job, providing faultless, well finished patios, paths and steps having previously cleared the existing space.

Nicholson's team were conscientious, considerate, polite, helpful, pleasant and reliable.

I am very pleased with my beautiful new garden.
