The buyer of my property were using Machins, and I was gobsmacked to find out that a conveyancing solicitor had to engage a 3rd Party to understand what the Buildings Safety Act is.
This took weeks! And as a result of this discussion and what is clear is not a good understanding of the Building Safety Act, my buyer was advised to pull out of the purchase after being misinformed on the situation.

If my next buyer says they're using Machins I think I will pass and wait for the next one to avoid wasting any more of anyone's time.

Not to mention that in the end, Rosie was so rude to my estate agent that he refused to contact her again, and asked that communications were handled through the buyer, who also struggled to get in contact with them.

Dealt with Santokh Singh for a commercial matter. one of the slowest solicitors i have ever used. Says he will do something and doesnt follow through but happy to take fees upfront. Way better solicitors out there

Jackie at Machins was my solicitor for my house move recently. She was absolutely fantastic. From the beginning I just felt I could relax as she had everything in hand.
