So glad I found LLI. The lawyer we had used in Turkey was a crook and never kept us up to date with how probate was going, then he failed to hand over the monies. LLI has done a good job and has found two pensions that the original lawyer failed to find, this shows how thorough LLI is. Through them we are now chasing the original lawyer.

Firstly in 2014 when purchasing a villa in Turkey, and subsequently in seeking legal advice and possible litigation procedure relating to property contract issues also in Turkey. I have sought the services of English speaking and UK based legal representation. Following recommendation, I instructed London Legal International - dealing with Burcu Orhan Holmgren.

I am a British national and a case was raised against me in Turkey by cowboy realtors. However, Turkish law states that you must respond to a case within 7 days or you automatically lose the case. As I am not a Turkish citizen, I could not reject the case by myself and needed a Turkish lawyer to object on my behalf.

By the time I understood that this was the case, it was very last minute. I was also advised by various Turkish, and joint English/Turkish lawyers that this was impossible in the timeframe (given I would need a signed PoA) and that I should just accept the automatic loss given it was a small case.

However, London Legal International were extremely quick to come to my help and even immediately objected to the case on my behalf for no charge. I am amazed at that level of service and I will definitely be using their services should I ever again have need of legal representation in Turkey.
