It is advertised as open on certain days, but it isn't true . I ventured into one of the grottiest streets in the town, only to find out that they couldn't be bothered to turn up.

I watched the building as a tattooed man strode towards the CAB with a plastic folder under his arm. He spent some considerable time banging on the door and attempting to look through the grotty and obscured glass to no avail. Eventually, he wandered off in obvious disappointment, as did I.

This kind of fourth rate "service " seems to me to be in existence only for the purpose of frustrating any attempt to get justice. A solicitor once told me that they couldn't take my case because the decision had been taken to price out ordinary people. The CAB is only there in order that a bunch of untrained volunteers of low calibre could further obstruct the poor from making progress. I agree with that statement.

I can't imagine any other business surviving a single week if it provided this level of hit and miss service. Each and every one of its branches offers various degrees of crap and this one appears to be one of the worst.

Called at this office the other day very good service with smiles all around very helpful, Thought they would have bent the rules a little to let us inside as there were empty chairs! ! Outside it was very cold and very heavy rain not good for us pensioners with already full of cold and aching limbs!!! ☺

Get down a half hour before opening to queue up. They only have a few appointments each day and it's on a first come first served basis.
They offer an excellent service with limited resources.
