I contacted esn solicitors twice on the same day to get a conveyancing quote and was told that I would receive a call back but never heard back from them. I called them again the next day and mentioned not receiving a call back the previous day, and the lady answering the phone said she would flag the request as urgent and give me a call back. Once again they never contacted me back. If this is the service provided for requesting a simple quote, I don't wanna know how they handle something like the purchase of a property.

Involved in a sale at the moment and from the start this firm has delayed the process taking weeks to send draft contracts out, sitting on enquiry responses for 4 weeks and more than anything a lack of communication with their client, our solicitors and the estate agents not responding to emails and never answering/returning calls.

When looking please save yourselves a lot of stress and avoid these solicitors for house sales/purchases, the lack of professionalism has astounded us and firms like this are the reason solicitors have such a bad reputation in the industry.

So far they don't even deserve one star for their failure to progress dealing with my mother's estate. I'm extremely unhappy. I'm now left waiting until January before they can contact me as the person now handling this (the original person has left) is on leave for the next two weeks. I did loads of the work for them getting figures and as far as I can see they have not done anything with the information I sent over four months ago. Really poor.

I would implore anyone thinking of using this company to look elsewhere. My current experience is as follows. I requested the return of original documents three months ago which I needed for a house sale and as yet the documents have not been returned to me, risking the deal to fall through. Communication has been dreadful to the point where I have had to make a formal complaint. The communication during the complaints process has not been any better with the allotted period of response not being kept too. At the moment I'm still waiting for an official response with the likely prospect of having to replace the documents myself and contact the Legal Ombudsman. Overall a frustrating and disappointing experience.

We contacted ESN solicitors 6 weeks ago as we required our file from 2017 as proof of sale, to purchase a property.
They said it would take approx 2 weeks which was fine.
After ringing up every few days we were told after 6 weeks that the file had been destroyed.
Surely they knew how far back files went in Archive.
What a waste of 6 weeks.

Very hard to contact and unresponsive during a house sale. Have delayed exchange a number of times when all other parties in the chain are ready. Latest reason was because the solicitor put the wrong date to request funds! If you want a solicitor that will likely cause a house chain to fall through they are the ones to use.
