I was so impressed by the professionalism, expertise and generosity of time with the group at the Community Mediation Calgary Society (CMCS). When the neighbours we were having an issue with declined to get involved in mediation I was offered a CAM, which stands for Conflict Assistance Meeting. This meeting was held on a Zoom call. There were two mediators, two observers and myself on the call. They had me explain my story in great detail, they were so patient. And then they made some very gentle suggestions about how I could look at my particular problem differently. They don’t give direct advice, but they do give you a different perspective. I found this very helpful. So, to all the people at the CMCS my heart felt thanks. You do such a good job and Calgary really needs you.

My neighbours didn’t want to do a mediation , but I was offered a Conflict Assistance meeting . It helped me see things from my neighbours side . I now have some ideas to avoid conflict.

If you had told me before we found CMCS that my neighbor and I would find a way to deal with our fence, I would not have believed it. I appreciate the professionalism of the mediators and the fact that this is a free service

If I could give zero I would…total waste of time…City of Calgary eliminates bylaws and sends over fence to this service. Pathetic!
