If I could give this company 0 stars, I would do. From start to finish we were not treated fairly or treated as though the company valued our custom.

We were told to use these solicitors by our estate agents - because they are the internal solicitors that they use and that this would make the whole process quicker.

We started our transaction at the start of July and we did not move in until the end of November. The service which we paid £2,500 for was quite frankly abysmal, we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience and that there was no real motivation to complete our purchase.

We started our purchase at the start of July and only completed at the end of November and the only reason I can put this down to is pure laziness of our solicitors. This is an unbelievable amount of time, especially because both us and the seller did nothing to delay the process and had no chain!!

Our seller advised right from the start that he was looking to complete asap due to relocation for his job. We had also said that we would be able to move once agreed a completion date and we had arranged this with our rental agency.

We did not speak to our solicitor until the start of November when I called her first! The only contact we had up until this point was via email when she wanted us to send some documents in the post.

The reason I called at this point was because we had been for a viewing at our house and the estate agent who had been working closely with the seller advised that he had been told completion was expected to be at the end of November.

I rang our solicitor to ask what was going on as this was only a month away and we had been told nothing about this. During the call I had with our solicitor, she admitted that she hsd - in her own words ‘ been a bit lax with the communication on our transaction, with no apology or explanation for this.

When it was eventually confirmed that we should be able to complete by the end of November, I was calling often to get an update on how things were going, because we were never called first.

On one occasion when I called the solicitor said ‘ hi this is - from conveyancing direct, how can I help’ I then said ‘ hi this is - my name - are you okay?’ - she then sighed and said ‘ second question please, how can I help?’ . This is a prime example of our solicitor being rude, unbothered and inconsiderate in relation to our purchase. This is no way to speak to customers who are paying a lot of money for a very poor service.

The amount we had to chase what was going on made it feel like they were the ones paying us and not the other way around - in that they didn’t act like there was any urgency or importance to completing our purchase.

We were told to use this awful company by our estate agents because it would be ‘quicker’, due to our seller using the same internal solicitors. We later found out that this was not the case - we were advised multiple times that our solicitor was waiting to hear back from the sellers lawyers - only to find out later that they work in the same office - why couldn’t our solicitor get up and ask the lawyers what the update was.

Please avoid this company at all costs, the way they acted towards us was absolutely unacceptable and you would not think that we were paying the price we did for the slow, lazy and ‘lax’ attitude to our case that we had.

Worst experience I've had so far buying a house thanks to this conveyancing firm.
What should have a been a quick sale with no chain, has had little to no progress after 4 months with hardly any commuincation.
Don't bother trying to call for an update either. Any calls get answered by an intern who makes false promises for callbacks that never happen. The estate agent has even had to chase them up for the searches that they've apparantly had sat on their desk for a month, which I'm still yet to see after shelling out 500 quid for them straight away. Don't fall for their immediate search promise, certainly doesn't save any time! Lucky that's all they've had off me now that I've had to pull out of the sale. Only silver lining is I can say good riddance to these time wasters.

As first time buyers i had the pleasure of working with Freya Mcleod who managed to complete the legal process really quickly. Was a bit nervous at first but very nice adviser and quick response though do be patient as legal process does take time but freya explained everything clearly. Definitely will be doing business with them again
