I had to get in touch with a solicitor, Mr Mason, when I got hit from behind when stationary in my vehicle. Mr Mason fully informed me on all my options in the case. We then proceeded to claim off the other driver for an injury I received, as well as my written off vehicle. Throughout the claim, Mr Mason kept me regularly informed of any updates in the case. He was very thorough, certainly working hard to get the best possible outcome. In the end, I received a reasonable payment from the other party and was very happy with the outcome. I can certainly recommend Stacey and Mason, as they showed great professionalism and efficiency throughout my dealings with them. Mr Mason was totally unprofessional when my father had suffered from dementia and needed a divorce due to his decline in mental capacity.
Jon Mason was hired by my father to navigate a complicated divorce, and settle my late grandmothers estate.
Stacy and Mason invoices were compared along side my mothers solicitors (John Walsh, Stammers) it was considerably higher in cost. Ironically close to the final value in money, to my late grandmothers estate.
Mr Mason (Director)became irritated and cross frequently, when this was pointed out and when our family complained.

It was an upsetting time and the actions and attitudes of Stacy and Mason, made the whole situation more stressful for my whole family. Not to mention expensive for my father and removing him (at his request) from his full time care home. Anyone who has ever seen anyone with dementia, will know this would be highly unethical.

At at a later meeting with Mr Mason, he intimidated my sister and threatened her with the Police. We can only assume taking advantage of a lone woman on her own. My sister withdrawing her initial complaint and gave up her guardianship of my fathers affair.

Stacy and Mason Solicitors left us feeling hurt and betrayed, their response; I can only describe as arrogant. We will not be using this firm at any point in the near future.

Updated April 2022: Stacy and Mason used the Data Protection Act to hide behind their harsh dealings and lack of empathy with my father. At one point hiring a psychologist who had not practiced for 30 years and conveniently classed my father as “mentally capable” for which he paid additional costs for the privilege, on top of the hefty legal bill.

If there were no concerns about my fathers mental state legally, this surely would not have been required.
In addition to all the stress for my father and financial implications. The invitation stated below, to come and discuss my dissatisfaction directly with Stacy and Mason; was actually a legal letter from the organisation threatening to seek damages from me. A threatened letter stating a negative review to another solicitor. This made me fearful as they sighted I could liable for £30,000 costs unless this very review withdrawn by me.
Ask yourself if this, is this the actions of a credible family solicitor? I only wish to share my experiences to empower others to make a fully informed decision, regardless of my opinion.

Thankfully the world is changing and the way legal companies and large powerful corporations are willing to compromise customers satisfaction, are now being called to account and scrutinised for their actions and impacts on others.

Highly recommend Stacey & Mason. Worked with both William Mason on a separation and Julie Tyrrell on property transactions and the service was always excellent. William Mason really got to grips with the specifics of my separation and provided excellent advice on the different options and best approaches to take which made the whole process go much more smoothly and quickly than it might otherwise have. A friend in a similar situation with a less effective solicitor spent a great deal more time and money on solicitors’ fees so it’s really worth investing in a good solicitor and I would definitely recommend Stacey & Mason.

Our experience of this firm and Mr Bill Mason is excellent and very evil, Mr Bill Mason represented us on a legal matter which he dealt with professionally. However, on the second matter, he and the firm’s legal system and or Mr Bill Mason failed to realise he had acted for two of his clients then represented one against the other. This level of failure of system or process is deplorable but for a senior partner is beyond unprofessional and not in keeping with the regulatory body the SRA they aspire to be regulated by. If you use or are using this firm, check the other parties’ position. A no name reply from the Owner at Stacey and Mason Solicitors is disrespectful and unprofessional. Saying, "I repeatedly harassed Mr Mason using the Internet, despite repeated requests to desist", is incorrect. I supplied information, details, and video relating to Mr Simon James' activities, which included fraud, money laundering, and illegal and substandard property development. All of these were ignored so the case could be won. I have no issues with the Owner at Stacey and Mason Solicitors winning the case; what I do worry about is what was ignored to win the case: the lack of common sense, integrity, and due diligence. Mr James took £30,000 knowing the property was unmortgageable, a health hazard, illegal, and substandard; my sole driver was to provide a home for my disabled sister (Paula). I reported and sent it all to Mr Mason, it was ignored. If a solicitor wants to answer your e-mails, they will, but equally, they won’t if it contains unwanted information. I do think the information and videos should and still be been passed to the Police? My mum would turn in her grave if I acted for someone like Mr Simon James, when a disabled person welfare was ignored it is not the correct way to handle a case. I have nothing personal against the Owner at Stacey and Mason Solicitors, I am just updating and reporting on my personal experience.
