This surgery is like a lottery. Manage to get the phone answered is a win. An appointment, the jackpot. Phoned today, (11th September) for an appointment, only 11th in the queue at 8.35, result ! offered 10th 0ctober !!. I said what about today? as the policy, which I followed is, call after 8.30 for an appointment; no appointments left at 8.40 am. How can all the appointments fill up in 10 minutes. How many appointments were actually available?
So can I have the out of hours badger clinic ?What badger clinic ? Came the reply. The one in Dorridge you have referred me to before. Oh. Can't do that, you will have to phone after 2.0. if you want an appointment this afternoon. Why couldn't they give me an appointment this afternoon? Fill this afternoon's appointments and leave the out of office message on saying no appointments try again tomorrow or go to the Dorridge clinic. It's not that hard to stop messing patients about.
Looking forward to this afternoon's lottery. Wish me luck.
When you do get through service is fine, especially the asthma nurses. Although it can get messy if you need regular prescriptions from the pharmacy, it's never the pharmacist's or the surgery's fault when the medicines are not there or under supplied.

The nicest doctor's surgery I've attended. I was referred from my GP for an appointment. However, deducted a star as the receptionist was incredibly rude and was adamant that I didn't have an appointment until I refused to leave as it was a Saturday and I couldn't contact my GP surgery to clear it up. So refused to leave and made him re-check the system multiple times until he realised he was wrong and sent me through. Although he did, inadvertently make me late for my appointment

At a time of extreme pressures on the NHS, I have found the service received from the BCHC to be nothing short of excellent - helpful reception staff, and superb service and advice from my GP.

This is a good surgery and they do their best for patients. The receptionist are lovely, well they are to me and they don't deserve the abuse they get from some patients. This is a very demanding time for everyone via NHS services and if you want respect you should also have respect for others....after all they only doing a job to the best of their abilities.

I have had very positive experiences with the surgery. Everyone from reception, nurses, doctors have been willing to listen and understand my health concerns and when they say they will do something such as referrals they are always done.

This surgery is the worst one Iv been a patient of if you manage to get through you have to deal with the most difficult reception who don’t listen to what you got to say seem to do there best not to give you a appointment and trying to get a prescription and medication sorted don’t even bother trying
