Had a data breach which resulted in harm. I used SBW after a quick Google search. Although technically a win, it was significantly lower than expecting especially when looking at precedent cases. Despite medical evidence being available, they were reluctant to go down the route. Basically I didn't feel like they had my back. The offer was inclusive of fees, and they took this as well as their "up to 25%", for very little work (no medical information requested or to go through etc). I received about 40% of the total claim. Be careful about this wording as it made the whole thing just not worth it. Case was also handled by 2 x trainee solicitors which I wasn't advised on when starting.

Follow-up to SBW response. I'm massively confused as to how you are stating that I received 100% of the claim. The total claim was 'X' (their offer was compensation inclusive of fees). SBW deducted your fees from 'X', as well as an additional 25%, which left me circa 40% of the total claim. I'm happy to post a screenshot of the email?

I'm further confused as to how you feel that this is a surprise to you. We've had phone calls and exchanged emails re my unhappiness and you gave me a token amount back (this still left with me just over 40%). You did so after a formal complaint was made. I wasn't going to mention that but you've made factually incorrect claims and left me no choice. You've referenced giving me some money back, and so how is it you feel that we've not discussed this? Do you normally give additional money to people who don't contact you with a complaint? The offer was also accepted on your recommendation and reluctance to go for medical information available. As I said, I felt I had no tangible avenues left.

I'm glad that others had a positive experience but this is an honest review on the back of my experience with SBW. I also felt the need go address the points in your reply.

Really grateful for these people. They worked with tenant angels to help me get my deposit returned after my ex landlord refused to pay it back. I even got a bit extra as it turned out he also didn't secure my deposit into a protection scheme. Thank you

I requested SBW's assistance after having problems with a recently purchased second hand vehicle. Following months of problems I decided the car needed to be returned to the dealership but as I had gone slightly over the 6 month guidance of the Consumer rights act I run into problems with
the dealership. I explained the situation in detail to SBW who agreed I had done more than enough to resolve the issue and they kindly took on my case. From an initial meeting they contacted the dealership via email, phone and letter. I was kept informed on the progress and within no time they had resolved all the issues and received a settlement offer way above what the garage had been willing to negotiate with myself.
