We've recently completed a house purchase with Butcher Andrews. Toni Potter dealt with our work. Things did not go smoothly with the chain and plans had to change. However Toni was steady and professional throughout it all, guiding it all home successfully. We felt able to trust her advice and guidance in a process that felt very wobbly at times.
I would recommend Toni to anyone looking for conveyancing services.

The buyers of my property used this firm, unfortunately the process was delayed an extra month by this firm. Nobody covered the solicitors holiday so it ground to a halt for over a week, she then sat on information for 3 weeks, then after prompting from our solicitors then raised more issues. She also lied to our estate agents when stating when she had received paperwork, this was unfortunate as it was the estate agent that had recommended our buyers use this firm.Replying to emails was extremely slow, communication from them was always around 5pm so at close of business. It was incredibly frustrating as there was no chain so should have been straightforward but took nearly 4 months. Not sure if she has too much work on or is just lackadaisical in work ethic. I feel so strongly about this I would refuse to sell to anybody wishing to use this firm in the future.

I am now back in possession of my American book's manuscript from 2009 and might as well publish it again, here in Fakenham, or in London ... It probably helped that Olivia has been in publishing previously, so, she knew who to approach. I told her that I have 4 other affairs that need to be resolved but I decided not to pursue them, I would tell Olivia why if she's interested to know. There is, however, one current case that I am trying to resolve through the Citizen's Advice office here in Fakenham. If that won't work, I might be back on Olivia's doorstep. Unless that's not her expertise since it involves initiative on the side of our site owner here in the Star Meadow community regarding electricity bills. We'll see. Thank you for the opportunity. There was a sheet with several boxes to tic, tick, trick but for me to be able to do that, I will need a different format, like, pdf? And - adding photos here doesn't work either, am I in the wrong dimension? Maybe, I need time travel. But then, solicitors probably don't approach THAT front - too bad.

When I read other, positive reviews, I consider those people were lucky.
I am dealing indirectly with this partnership, and 'slow' is not enough to describe the tardy action taken by them on a purchase of a rental property. A more than simple transaction with no chain, no mortgage. Poor.

I am so annoyed that we tried to save a few hundred pounds and went with the estate agents solicitor for our sale and purchase this time round. I have used BA so many times (we move a lot and have used them for many other things) and they are always fantastic. So much so, that I have had to contact them for their help in advising my solicitor our current conveyancing!!! BA are responsive and professional and whatever your need, they will not let you down. Don't try and save a few pennies by going with cheaper options, it is not worth the stress. You get what you pay for and BA are worth every penny. I can't thank them enough for being so helpful and I have learned my lesson for next time. BA all the way from now on.

Great work on executing my mothers will and leading us through the house sale. Completed sale just as the lockdown happened, continued to work on the will and getting everything cleared up from their home offices. ?

Edit 24 June - It now appears they have messed up the will and lie to us about information supplied to them. They claim they were just acting on our instructions and not there to advice us. Beware of these people.
