Disgraceful. Lack of communication, hold up with sale and completion due to the oversight of the first of the 3 solicitors I dealt with. Sale with no chain took 7 months to complete. Literally down to the last day of my mortgage offer to finally complete. Seems like nothing can actually be accomplished without a director sign off which takes weeks to do. Very nearly lost the sale and then had to pay for the additional checks and registration which was missed in the first instance when original solicitor was fully aware of the issue of unregistered land. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Worst company I've ever dealt with. Remortgage team do not call back. Only have one qualified solicitor who is based in Cardiff who will not contact you directly and leave your paperwork static on their desk for 2 weeks. You are permanently chasing them. Straight forward remortgage taken 6 weeks and still chasing them for the money to be transferred to me when the bank have released the money to them.
I would not recommend them at all.

From start to finish with our re-mortgaging process, Sort Legal were very professional and committed. It was all done on line, with daily emails, which was brilliant, as we could fill in the forms and provide all the information after we'd finished work. The whole process took four weeks. *Avoid at all costs* A really poor company. During my remortgage they were contacting the wrong management company for over a month, by the time they finally got in touch with the right people (and everything else was sorted and in place early), it extended the time taken by weeks. Put me onto the variable mortgage rate, ended up costing me nearly £2k extra in interest in just over a month directly from. Their lazy work. A simple Google search from myself found the right company they SHOULD have been contacting, and I provided it to them within minutes of being informed they weren't getting any response from the people they were trying. A child with access to the internet could've done better. They stated they didn't think it was their responsibility to make sure they were communicating with the correct company when I made a formal complaint... I'm really not sure whose responsibility it is then?
Currently going through the process of complaining and seeking compensation via the legal ombudsman. Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

Like many sales, things can take a while to get going, but once the information was available, Adriana acted quickly. Our buyers used Sort Legal for their conveyancing and they were absolutely useless. They actually ruined the whole process and the chain almost collapsed. The solicitor Nyasha was rude to my solicitor and the estate agents who rang him for updates. We basically moved when he wanted us to. Everything was at the last minute. He was unable to be proactive! We would get to yet another date for completion when he was saying maybe and the day before he’d say no I didn’t request the funds or didn’t request the ISA deposit and it takes a week so he would have known this for at least a week we couldn’t complete. It was actually really odd. All other professionals in the chain were shocked at his/their lack of care, understanding, professionalism and complete refusal to work with the chain. His manager refused to take calls so there is no escalation process! Two completion dates fell through. Leaving us living around boxes for three weeks! Honestly avoid at all costs! Our buyers said they were going to make a complaint. I really hope they did!

Our buyer have used this firm to buy a house we are selling and they have been beyond useless. These will be blacklisted and i will warn any clients thinking of using these in the future. Laura and Alison haven't been helpful at all and this sale is now coming into it's 7th month the property is chain free and the buyer is a first time buyer so there is no reason for it to have taken this long.
