Just got back home to enjoy the meatballs in sauce bought from here. After warming them up I offered my partner a bite, so cut into one. Raw and uncooked meatball in the sauce. Now you might think I'm at fault here, but let me explain. 1. I bought it from the deli section where all the other food looked cooked. 2. The person selling it never mentioned it was raw minced meat in the sauce. 3. The packaging in the photos say on the side microwave for 5 minutes, which I did. 4. In very small writing on the top label it says to oven cook for 25 minutes.

I'm absolutely fuming. If I'd have bitten into and swallowed a bit of this, I would have gotten food poisoning 100%. Why would you sell raw meat hidden in sauce, in a deli section, with no obvious warning to what you're buying? Crazy!!

Edit: I've just realised the 5 minutes label is about what the tub can max handle in the microwave. Not very clear and dangerous.

Went there after hearing about this place. Butchery side looked fantastic especially the kebabs and stir-fry dishes.
The current girlfriend had a pork pie , I lost mine ( that's another story) my elderly mum smashed the cheese and onion pie. The shop was busy the pies were great - I believe.
I'll be back again. Haslingden is pretty lucky I think

We got a rib of beef and 2 mexican chicken lattice's, as well as a meat pie and sausage roll.
My wife said it was the best meat pie bar none.

The rib of beef was absolutely delicious.
As for the mexican chicken, I will keep you posted.

Not one to leave poor reviews, but paid £30 for two fillet steaks, and they were tough, sinewy, and chewy. Very unpleasant to eat. I'll stick to buying steaks from Beeches in Wilpshire

You name it this Butcher has it! Everything from cakes, ham, jams, pickle's, bacon , joints, prepared meals, vegetables, rolls, baked on the premises pies, chili con carne and cooked chicken . Very busy! I would recommend the steak pies, sausage rolls and salad in fact I would recommend the whole place! You won't be disappointed.

Great selection of butchers shop treats. I got a ham salad sandwich, a hot peppered chicken wrap, 3 pork pies and a Manchester tart for only £15! And it’s all delicious.
Only downside is sometimes you’re in a queue for a while & it trails outside the shop but it’s a small price to pay for fresh hot food ?

Everything is top quality and fresh, today made lamb curry with the diced lamb, it is melt in your mouth. Chicken breasts are amazing, as are homemade burgers, stir fries, pork chops and steaks. Once tasted you will never buy meat from a supermarket again
