Avoid this firm at all costs 15 years ago Whatley Recordon were entrusted with a substantial sum of money held for a vulnerable child following the death of their mother. Two years ago they were asked to wind up the trust and pay back the money which to date they have failed to do, instead there's been excessive delays in getting responses and partial information is given which when questioned results in a request for a meeting which is chargeable which further depletes the fund.

This is client money which has never belonged to them which they refuse to return unless the family agree not to complain about their exceptionally poor service, a clear breach of trust, their fiduciary duties and basic standards of decency.

If you want a solicitor to put their own interests before yours, charge you excessively and keep your money then they are the ones for you. I should mention that I'm not the client but a friend of the family with 20+ years as a director and trustee of a multiple £m fund so my opinion is based on extensive experience in this area.
