I used these conveyancing solicitors to amend deeds previously. They took a long time but did get the job done.

By coincidence, they also represent the buyer in my house sale which is currently ongoing.

The level of unprofessionalism we have all seen from Angela Viney solicitors is just like nothing any of us have experienced before.

This was supposed to be a fast sale of a small house, circa 2 months expected transfer time.

We are now nearly 6 months in and because Angela Viney solicitors are so hopeless we are no closer to a sale.

They have lost tons of paperwork, asked for certificates and admin that was sorted months ago, and 2 solid months of time in the middle was wasted because they, somehow, managed to send reply emails TO THE WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS. How do you even do that?! Normally you just click "reply", but no, somehow they managed to hold everything up for months by sending all our details to the WRONG people.

For the past 4 months, me (the seller), the buyer and my estate agent and solicitors have all been trying to get hold of Angela Viney to ask what the hell is going on and why things have taken 3 times as long as they should have been (and still we have no sale in sight), but they won't answer the phone and most emails they send don't even make sense. The only reply anyone has had from them in the past 4 months has been one solitary phone call where they said "we can take as long as we like, there's no deadline", a response my estate agent tells me is borderline criminal - they've never had a reply like that before from any solicitor

It's a completely outrageous state of affairs and even the house buyer (who is their client) can't get any sense out of them, in fact he's sent me screenshots of some of their responses, I've half a mind to publish them online, a paralegal sending out blank emails so the questions are marked as replied in their inbox.

We've been advised to go to the Solicitors Regulation Authority because their conduct is so unreasonable, and sending our details to the wrong people is completely unprofessional.

I cannot express in words strongly enough how important it is you avoid this solicitor like the plague, they are absolutely, totally horiffic.
