Alison Muir is the head of the Criminal Law Department, and has had my previous review removed from Google. Therefore I would advise you to avoid this firm like the plague. There are some good firms out there, this firm is not one of them.

This firm took an excessive amount of time to respond to my request to instruct a psychologist to do a court report. I believe that this was due to Alison Muir being overworked. She needs to realise that this is not an excuse for poor service.

As if that weren't bad enough, the case got adjourned anyway, but the psychologist was unable to attend court. Instead of fixing the issue by getting another report done by someone else, this firm outright refused to do so. Not very good for a law firm.

Alison Muir doesn't want you to know about my bad experience with them. This is her response:

"It has just been brought to my attention that you have posted an unfavourable review on Google about my firm, which I attach.

I have to say that I am most surprised and shocked about what you have written. We have not represented you for some considerable time and when we did, Michael Cole and myself did absolutely everything to help you in relation to the very many cases which you had before the criminal courts. At no stage did you ever complain about the service you received and indeed were only thankful for our help. The only recent contact we had was when you asked my advice about compensation just last month and I believe that if you felt that our service was not good then you would not have contacted us.

At this stage I am asking you kindly to remove your review, on the basis that it is not just unfair but completely untrue, although if I have to I will have to take it further as it gives a truly false impression of my firm.

I have copied in your mother so that she knows about this and because she is fully aware how hard we tried to support you during your very many court cases over the past few years."

Rude, pushy and generally unprofessional. Gives unconfirmed moving dates to their clients that have not even been agreed to by the other party, assumed I would be using them after simply asking for a quote, sent papers to me and I had not even instructed them, enforces things that are not even a legal obligation but says they are. Only giving 1 star as I cannot t give zero. Avoid like the plague.
