Initially instructed Davsions Wolverhampton to carry out the necessary legalities in 2020 for the purchase of my first home on the recommendation of the Building Company Kier Living. At the time of using them being a first time buyer I was a bit wet behind the ears and unaware how anything worked or how long it should take. Back 2020 they needed to be pushed to do any work and this was frustrating at the time but ultimately I completed and moved into my home.

Fast forward 4 years and this is where the real issues arise. I am in the process of trying to sell my home as I need to move to a bigger property due to my partner and I welcoming a baby into the world in early 2025. Issue is I cannot sell my property due to the necessary due diligence not being taken in 2020 by Davisons to ensure I legally own my home through the Land Registry. This issue was only raised in August 2024 due to me agreeing to sell my home and my new solicitor advising me about it. This was then raised directly with Davisons however it is a different branch dealing with this now. Initially Davisons advised they would resolve this in 10-14 days. We are now ticking over into the 8th week of agreeing the sale of my property and flagging this issue to Davisons. They have pushed me from pillar to post and pointed the finger at everyone but themselves and I am unable to proceed with the sale and purchase of my new property. I am chasing this every day and I am hit with the same buzzwords and fobbing off by the team there. My partner is 7 months pregnant and she does not need the added stress of moving and having child that Davisons' historical failings and current lack of action is causing.

To say I am disappointed with this service is an understatement. Issue is they have had the money 4 years ago now and this is sat a different branch... bringing new income into the business and dealing with that seems far more important than dealing with issues from 2020!

Our sale fell through at the last minute due to unforeseen issues with the chain but, wow, the team at Davisons were amazing. They could not do enough for us, their communications were prompt and always gave us the details we needed.
The purchase we were making the team got everything in place within weeks and were able to answer every single question which came up.
The sale of our property was more problematic due to the lower end of the chain being not very pro active but they both ensured that any delays were dealt with as quickly as possible.
