Ethan Currie has recently dealt with our first property purchase. As a first time buyers we have had a great experience. We never had to chase for updates, Ethan Currie has kept us in the loop throughout the process. Everything was kept simple and straightforward for us.

Also a special thank you to Lorraine Timbers (head of accounts) for dealing with the financial side of things so quickly. Our completion funds were sent first thing in the morning and the whole transaction was completed more quickly than we expected. It has been a stress free and top class service by Leadenhall Law Group. We do highly recommend Ethan Currie and the team to everyone! Thank you guys!

Very bad experience we were passed around various members of staff for our conveyancing with very poor communication. We were refused to be given the managers details which is in their own terms and conditions as we queried our invoice. This was then lowered to the correct amount. But only after us fighting this. We were spoken to like we were stupid children and patronised throughout our experience. I now tell everyone who I speak to never ever use this company. How it is still going is beyond me. Our process took nearly a year and we were lied to about our house which we were purchasing had not been registered. The list could go on. I do not write this negative review lightly. Also Ethan if he is still there was a big part of the bad service and patronising mannor and blatantly lied to our face. We are so pleased we do not have to use this company and everything has now finished. Please use other local companies and steer clear of this place. Happy to speak to anyone who wants more details as we were so shocked and disgusted by our experience.

I would never use this company again, they work remotely, which I do NOT object to, but no one answers their phones, answer machine message asks that you make contact by email and the they take days to come back by email. The service is pretty poor, communication is shocking, they are quick to take on new work but slow at getting the job done.

I cannot recommend Mike and Leadenhall Law Group enough. He has made the process of buying our first home seamless and enjoyable. We went from offer to completion within 2.5 months and he was helpful and informative during the whole process. I will be recommending them to friends and family moving forward. Thank you so much. Gemma & Sean Roberts xx

Shelley has been great in handling the sale of our home. Communication has been consistent and relevant. I have already instructed Shelley again in a separate purchase.

This solicitor firm were recommended to our buyer by the London based estate agent handling the sale of our flat. We suspect there's a financial agreement, kick back in place which is why they're openly recommended. I found the solicitor we had to deal with disorganised, slow to answer, adversarial, inexperienced and unpleasant. Our solicitor, who has been practicing for 30 plus years, has said she'd refused to work with them again. Avoid this firm and question if recommended, how genuine the recommendation is.

I am disappointed with my experience with Leadenhall solicitors recently, particular after my case was late transferred to Amber Howarth. In the terms and conditions I signed, it clearly states: "you will be advised if an additional fee is payable prior to the service being carried out".

However, after our exchange being completed, and receiving a completion statement with around £500 of additional charges, when I questioned this, Amber's response was: "The additional fees are advised within the final completion statement and as you have signed the client engagement letter confirming that you are agreeable to our terms of business, these are applicable to your transaction." The terms of business that I signed, however, clearly stated the opposite, that I would be advised BEFORE they were charged.

I don't mind the charges if they are fair and being reasonably charged. What I am unhappy with, is having additional fees thrust on me, without any warning, then being told that there is nothing I can do about it. Now I have to do through an official complaints process to dispute Amber's poor working practice.

So in summary, as of May 2024, I would not recommend Leadenhall to anyone myself, and as a very busy professional person, I do not appreciate the extra time and hassle of raising a dispute because someone forgot to communicate that charges were being incurred. Now that I am buying a house, at least I have some poor experience with Amber and Leadenhall to learn from with my future dealings with solicitors. Thank you for that.
